Each member of the couple shared their announcement on their respective Instagram accounts.

Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont, who are both comedians and have been married for nine years, have decided to end their marriage. They recently released a joint statement announcing their divorce.

Since 2020, the pair has been featured on Meet The Richardsons, portraying "exaggerated versions of themselves" in a fabricated depiction of their shared life.

The fifth series of the show was back on UKTV's Dave channel on April 8th.

They stated that the determination was arrived at "together and cordially".

"We have decided to go our separate ways after being married for nine years," they shared separately on their Instagram accounts.

We have decided mutually and peacefully to end our marriage and move on with our own lives.

Given that our sole focus is on assisting our daughter during this challenging time, we kindly request that our privacy be honored in order to safeguard her welfare.

"We have nothing more to add on this matter."

The pair made an appearance on the popular TV program, Celebrity Gogglebox, which airs on Channel 4.

Beaumont, currently on a tour, received a nomination for the category of best female performance in a comedy program at the previous Baftas due to her role in Meet The Richardsons.

She has made appearances on comedy discussion shows like Would I Lie To You?, The Last Leg, and Have I Got News For You.

Richardson used to be a leader of the team on the TV show called 8 Out Of 10 Cats. He has also taken part in different programs as a panelist.

During the year 2018, Jon Richardson premiered his show called Jon Richardson: Ultimate Worrier on Dave. In this program, he chatted with his guests about their different anxieties. The show continued for two seasons.

In the past, he has served as a co-host alongside Russell Howard for BBC Radio 6 Music.

The previous year, the comic book stars collaborated with Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill and Dan Walker to lead a movement that sought to enhance the mental well-being of youngsters in Sheffield.

Richardson and Beaumont contributed to collecting over £12,000 in aid of families who were adversely affected by the crisis related to the high expenses of daily living during the year 2022.

The band held a charity concert at Netherthorpe School in Chesterfield, with ex-educator Beaumont explaining that their aim was to assist families that were going through difficulties.
