Inside Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's private wedding ceremony and star-studded bash

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal will be getting married in a private ceremony on Sunday evening.

Sonakshi's immediate family, which includes her parents Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, will be present at the wedding. Her two brothers, Luv Sinha and Kush Sinha, will also attend the ceremony.

The wedding will take place at Zaheer's residence on Carter Road in Mumbai. Zaheer's father, Iqbal Ratansi, informed Free Press Journal that the marriage will be conducted according to the Special Marriage Act of 1954, without any Hindu or Muslim ceremonies.

Debunking the gossip about Sonakshi changing her religion, Zaheer's father confidently stated, "She is not converting, that much is certain. Their relationship is based on love and religion holds no significance. I believe in the power of humanity. Hindus refer to God as Bhagwan, while Muslims call Him Allah. But ultimately, we are all humans. I offer my blessings to Zaheer and Sonakshi."

After the wedding, there will be a celebration at Bastian restaurant in Mumbai at 8pm. Celebrities are expected to attend the party.

The pair first encountered each other at a gathering thrown by Salman Khan. Strangely, Sonakshi started her Bollywood career with Salman's movie 'Dabangg' (2010) while Zaheer made his debut in 'Notebook' (2019), which was backed by the superstar. The duo later acted together in the film 'Double XL', released in 2022. They made their initial public appearance as a couple at the Eid celebration hosted by Aayush Sharma and Arpita Khan.

A special ritual was performed at Shatrughan Sinha's house Ramayana in Mumbai on Saturday evening. Sonakshi was wearing a blue traditional outfit and showing off the beautiful henna designs on her hands. The day before, at the henna ceremony, Zaheer was dressed in a patterned red tunic and white pants, while Sonakshi wore a coordinating red outfit.

Last Thursday, Zaheer and Shatrughan were spotted together in Bandra, smiling for the cameras.

At Sonakshi's pre-wedding celebration, she was seen with her best friend and fellow actress, Huma Qureshi.
