Chelsea are WSL champions!

WSL

It has been announced that Chelsea is the winner of Women's Super League for the fifth season in a row!

The contest for the championship went all the way to the end, but Emma Hayes finished her twelve-year tenure by securing her seventh league title through our impressive 6-0 victory versus Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Mayra Ramirez scored two important goals, followed by Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, Sjoeke Nusken, Melanie Leupolz, and Fran Kirby, who scored the final goal during her last game with Chelsea.

Our league season has come to a close, and we finished it off with an impressive record of 18 victories, only one tie, and merely three losses. Plus, we set a new record for the WSL season by netting a whopping 71 goals while only allowing 18.

The promotional effort has faced many obstacles, such as the possibility of Hayes leaving soon and certain important team members, like captain Millie Bright and last year's leading goal-scorer Sam Kerr, being unable to play for extended periods of time due to injuries.

Nevertheless, the resolute and steadfast attitude of the team and coaching personnel sparkled and guaranteed our triumph as the supreme side in England for another season.

Chelsea player, Hayes, is set to depart the team after achieving remarkable success during her time there. She has earned a total of seven Women’s Super League titles, five FA Cups, two Continental Cups, the Spring Series, and a Community Shield. Additionally, the team reached the final of the UEFA Women's Champions League in 2020.

The victory the team achieved today is a proper goodbye to two club icons, Kirby and Maren Mjelde. They have given exceptional and successful service to the club for nine and seven years, respectively, but will be departing from the club.

Well done to all of the people at Chelsea!
