Who is William Wragg?

William Wragg is a British politician and Member of Parliament (MP) for the Conservative Party. He was born on December 16th, 1987, in Stockport, Greater Manchester. He attended Stockport Grammar School and later graduated from the University of York, where he studied History and Politics.

Wragg entered politics in 2015 when he ran for election to represent the Hazel Grove constituency in the UK Parliament. He won the seat with a majority of 6,490 votes and has been serving as a Member of Parliament since. Wragg is known for his dedication to various issues, including education, digital infrastructure, and climate change.

Political Career of William Wragg

After his election to the UK Parliament in 2015, William Wragg joined the Education Select Committee. He focused on issues like school funding and the need to improve education in underperforming schools. In 2017, he was re-elected to the Hazel Grove constituency with a majority of 14,452 votes.

Wragg has also been vocal about digital infrastructure in the UK and has called for the government to invest in high-speed broadband connections across the country. In 2019, he was appointed as a member of the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee, where he works to ensure fair employment policies in the digital sector.
