During the 2024 Oscars red carpet event held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, Vanessa Hudgens made a public announcement about her pregnancy.
During her time co-hosting ABC's Countdown to Oscars: On the Red Carpet Live!, the Princess Switch star who is 34 years old, revealed her pregnancy by showing off her baby bump. She chose to wear a black turtleneck Vera Wang Couture gown that hugged her body and amplified her silhouette. To complete her outfit, she wore accessories from Chopard, including a white gold necklace with a 10.06-carat yellow diamond that was pear-shaped. The brand's Haute Joaillerie Collection also provided diamond earrings and diamond rings that matched her outfit perfectly.
The news of the confirmation that Hudgens will participate in the red carpet event is coming out, even though she denied the rumors of being pregnant in October 2023. People started to guess if she was having a baby when she posted some photos from her party in Aspen to celebrate her upcoming wedding.
On a certain occasion, a particular user made a comment: "It seems to me as if she's pregnant or trying to cover up a baby bump". As a result of this comment, the former High School Musical actress responded by stating that she is in fact not pregnant and requesting that everyone halt this assumption.
The performer is expecting her initial offspring with her spouse, Cole Tucker, a professional baseball athlete for Colorado Rockies. They exchanged wedding vows last December 2023 in Tulum, Mexico, followed by a joyful festivity with 100 attendees composed of their loved ones and friends. During the outbreak of Covid-19 in 2020, they came across each other in a virtual meditation meeting facilitated by Joe Jonas. After several months, they were seen linking arms in public, and the next year, they proudly announced their relationship status on social media.
During spring training with his ex-team, the Pittsburgh Pirates, he disclosed to reporters, "I have a girlfriend, and she's awesome. I really love her." However, he expressed that he doesn't want the media to make a big deal out of it and treat it as if it's different from his teammates who bring their partners to games. He clarified that his girlfriend will be around and you will see her, but he wants it to be seen as a normal thing, just like his teammate Mitch Keller having his wife around or Ke’Bryan Hayes having his girlfriend come down. Hudgens has longed to become a mom, confessing to Nylon magazine in September of 2022 that at a younger age, she had expected to tie the knot and start having kids earlier on in life.
I used to believe that I would tie the knot at the age of 25 because that's what my mom did. However, that didn't happen and I realized that the timeline of my life is going to change. I then decided that I want to have children when I am around 36 or 37 years old, and that hasn't changed. I don't feel anxious about it.
Prior to tying the knot with Tucker, Hudgens gained notoriety for being romantically involved with her High School Musical colleague Zac Efron for a period of four years, beginning in 2006 and concluding in 2010. Subsequently, she was involved in a nine-year relationship with Austin Butler, who is set to star in Dune Part 2, until their separation in January 2020.
