UFC 307 Results: Winners And Losers From Pereira Vs. Rountree Card

Tonight, the UFC is holding its UFC 307 pay-per-view event at Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The fight card is headlined by two championship bouts. In the main event, Alex Pereira, the UFC light heavyweight champion, will take on Khalil Rountree Jr., who is ranked eighth in the 205-pound division. Additionally, the co-main event features Raquel Pennington, the reigning UFC women's bantamweight champion, competing against former champion Julianna Pena.
The main event of UFC 307 will be available for streaming on ESPN+ Pay-Per-View, while the preliminary fights will air on ESPNews and the early prelims can be watched on ESPN+.
In November 2023, Pereira, the former UFC middleweight champion, captured the vacant light heavyweight title by defeating former champion Jiri Prochazka with a knockout at UFC 295. In 2024, Pereira successfully defended his title twice, first knocking out former champion Jamahal Hill at UFC 300 and then delivering a second knockout to Prochazka in their rematch at UFC 303.
Rountree is heading into UFC 307 riding a five-fight winning streak, with four of those victories achieved by knockout. His latest triumph was a TKO in December against Anthony Smith, a former contender for the UFC light heavyweight title. Originally, Rountree was set to compete against Hill at UFC 303, but Hill was sidelined due to a suspension resulting from a failed drug test linked to a contaminated supplement.
Pennington claimed the vacant UFC women’s bantamweight championship in January at UFC 297 by defeating Mayra Bueno Silva through a decision. She has not lost in her last six matches, securing victory in each one by decision.
In December 2021, Pena stunned the mixed martial arts community by achieving one of the greatest upsets in UFC history, defeating Amanda Nunes via submission at UFC 269 to claim the UFC women's bantamweight title. However, in their rematch at UFC 277, Pena lost the title back to Nunes after losing by decision. Since her loss to Nunes in July 2022, Pena has been out of action. She was scheduled to fight Nunes again in a third match, but an injury forced her to withdraw. In her absence, Nunes fought Irene Aldana, successfully defended her title, and subsequently announced her retirement. At the moment, Pena holds the No. 1 ranking in the bantamweight division.
Prior to the two title bouts at UFC 307, there’s a potential UFC women’s bantamweight title eliminator scheduled. In this matchup, Ketlen Vieira, currently ranked No. 2, will go up against No. 3 ranked Kayla Harrison.
Another matchup on the main card features former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo, who will face Mario Bautista in a bantamweight fight.
