It has been reported that Margot Robbie is expecting her first child.

The 34-year-old actress who played Barbie and her husband, who is also an actor and film producer, are going to have a baby together. Many sources have confirmed this to People magazine. They got married in 2016 but have not said anything publicly about the news yet.

The Independent has contacted the couple's representatives for a statement.

Robbie and Ackerly crossed paths for the first time in 2013 during the filming of Suite Francaise, a romantic drama set in World War II, in Belgium. Robbie was still making a name for himself in the acting world and Ackerly was working as the film's assistant director.

A year after that, they started a production company called LuckyChap. This company has since made big movies like Birds of Prey and Barbie, where Robbie played the main character.

Both of them are famous for keeping their personal lives away from the public eye. They never publicized their engagement and instead chose to tie the knot in a private ceremony in Byron Bay, Australia.

The actor from The Suicide Squad spoke to Vogue in May 2016 about how her relationship with the most attractive guy in London caught her by surprise.

"I used to be completely against being in a relationship. The thought of it made me feel sick," she explained. "But then something unexpected happened. We had been friends for a long time, and I had always had feelings for him."

Robbie kept going: “I never thought he would feel the same way about me. I didn't want to make things awkward by telling him I had feelings for him.” Then, it finally happened and I realized, “Of course we should be together. It just feels right, even though nothing has felt right before.”

Robbie has expressed frustration in the past about constantly being questioned in interviews about when she plans to start a family.

"I was really upset; Who does some elderly man think he is to control my decisions about being a mother or my own body?" she expressed to Radio Times in 2019.

"Sadly, this is a discussion that we are continue to engage in."

"I can't stand the pressure from society telling me what to do," she mentioned. "Just because I'm married doesn't mean I have to have a baby. I will make my own choices, thank you very much."

Lately, the couple shared details about their relationship during a talk with The Times. The couple revealed that their usual disagreement at home revolves around chocolate cookies and the ongoing debate of whether Tim Tams or Penguins are superior.

He expressed a desire for a stronger sports competition between Australia and the UK, mentioning that he considers himself an honorary Australian, while Margot is like an honorary Brit.

They also shared that when they are not working, they spend every hour of the day together.

"It flows smoothly," Ackerley remarked. "We don't have to constantly switch on and off. Everything has come together as one."
