Danny Rohl makes injury revelation over Sheffield Wednesday star after Hull City victory
Di’Shon Bernard's Broken Nose Confirmed By Coach
Sheffield Wednesday bounced back to victory on Tuesday evening, putting extra strain on Hull City manager Tim Walter with a 2-0 win at the MKM Stadium.
Josh Windass and Michael Smith scored for the Owls, helping them steer clear of a third consecutive match without a win. This victory moves them up to 12th place in the Championship standings, though it may only be a brief improvement as there are more matches set for Wednesday night.
Anyone present at the event on Humberside quickly noticed that center-back Di'Shon Bernard was wearing a protective face mask, and manager Danny Rohl has since explained the reason for it.
According to The Star, the Sheffield Wednesday manager announced that the Jamaican player competed despite having a broken nose, which he sustained during the weekend's match against Cardiff City.
“He's got a broken nose,” he mentioned.
"He pulled it off at Cardiff, on the right side, towards the end of the match when we were awarded a free-kick against us."
Bernard won't be able to join the trip to Derby County this weekend, but it's not because of an injury. He received his fifth yellow card of the season during the match against the Tigers, which means he has to sit out for one game.
Who's The Manager Of Blackpool FC?
Bernard has been a key player for Sheffield Wednesday throughout the early part of this season. This will be one of the few matches he will sit out for the Owls.
He missed the victory against West Brom in September because he received a red card in the previous match against Luton Town. Since that incident, the ex-Manchester United player has been a regular starter, playing the full 90 minutes in all 10 Championship matches that followed.
As Rohl later noted, he has players available who can fill in for Bernard when he is not playing.
Dominic Iorfa is set to be the primary substitute following his time on the bench during the match against Hull City. Additionally, Liam Palmer is capable of playing as a center-back in a three-man defense.

Sheffield Wednesday has achieved four victories, three draws, and three losses in their last ten matches. While this performance hasn't been particularly consistent, it has allowed the Owls to create a gap between themselves and the relegation zone.
During the last 10 games, Rohl’s team has not managed to secure consecutive wins, draws, or losses. This suggests that after their victory in the middle of the week, they might be likely to either lose or draw in their next match if this trend continues.
They can draw encouragement from their victory over Hull City as they prepare for a challenging away match ahead. Pride Park presents a tough challenge, and Derby County has been playing strongly since their promotion from League One. It will be interesting to watch who prevails this weekend.
