Ryan Gosling arrived at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles for the 2024 Oscars accompanied by his loved ones.

The famously reserved performer who portrays Barbie recently brought his family along to the awards show. He strolled down the crimson carpet accompanied by his mother, Donna Gosling, his sister, Mandi Gosling, and his stepfather Valerio Attanasio. The year prior, Mandi attended as his plus one when he received a nomination for Best Actor in La La Land.

Gosling sported a sleek and stylish Gucci suit in black. The suit included a blazer, pants, and an open-collared shirt adorned with touches of gold, making it an elegant choice. He paired the outfit with black dress shoes for a polished look. Adding a playful touch, he wore pink socks as a tribute to Barbie. To complete the ensemble, he added some dainty gold necklaces for a touch of sophistication.

Despite his daughters not being present, Mendes decided to attend the event and skip the red carpet altogether. This information was obtained from a post she shared on her Instagram account, where she appeared to be posing inside Gosling's changing area.

Mendes has shown her love and support for her spouse's portrayal of Barbie on various social media platforms. In the past summer, she posted a photo of herself on Instagram wearing a top with Gosling depicted as Ken, and wrote, "I'm feelin' that powerful Kenergy. Because ladies can also be players."

Numerous admirers left comments on the photo, inquiring whether Mendes and the individual in the photograph intended to walk together on the red carpet. The duo last walked the red carpet in 2012. Mendes responded to the comments by expressing gratitude and acknowledging that they do not typically attend such events as a pair.

Gosling didn't just receive a nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Ken in Greta Gerwig's Barbie, he was also recognized for Best Original Song thanks to "I'm Just Ken." Hitmakers Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt penned the track which Gosling delivered to the delight of both the live and remote audience. In a recent interview with Variety, Gosling expressed enthusiasm at the opportunity to exhibit his inner theatre enthusiast while eagerly waiting for his turn to perform.

Tonight, America Ferrera, who starred alongside him in Barbie, has also been nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her amazing portrayal of Gloria. Interestingly, when it was announced that Robbie and Gerwig didn't make the cut for the awards ceremony, this caused a bit of a stir with the media due to some comments made by the popular star of La La Land.

According to Gosling, without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, there would be no Barbie movie. These two individuals were crucial in creating this groundbreaking and widely celebrated film. Their exceptional skills, determination, and brilliance played a significant role in the success of the movie. It would not be possible to recognize anyone else's contributions to the film without acknowledging their immense talents. Unfortunately, the fact that they were not nominated in their respective categories has left Gosling feeling more than just disappointed.

Barbie was put forward for various accolades such as Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Original Song.
