Ryan Gosling is a Canadian actor, musician and filmmaker. He was born on November 12, 1980, in London, Ontario. Growing up, Gosling was heavily involved in various performing arts such as acting, dancing and singing. At the age of 12, he attended an open audition in Montreal for Disney Channel’s ‘The Mickey Mouse Club’ and was selected to join the cast alongside future stars such as Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. Following the show’s cancellation, Gosling moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career.

Ryan Gosling: Rise to Fame and Notable Works

Gosling gained widespread recognition for his role in the 2004 romantic drama ‘The Notebook’, where he starred opposite Rachel McAdams. He received numerous award nominations for his performance in the film, including a Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Actor in a Drama. Gosling continued to impress audiences with his versatility in a range of movie genres, including ‘Half Nelson’ (2006), ‘Blue Valentine’ (2010) and ‘La La Land’ (2016). He also made his directorial debut with the 2014 film ‘Lost River’.
