Teacher denies having sex with boys as she tells court she 'liked' attention after break-up
In court, a teacher claimed that following a break-up, she experienced feelings of loneliness and enjoyed being the center of attention. However, she refuted allegations that she engaged in sexual acts with two teenage boys.
A woman named Rebecca Joynes, who is 30 years old, was expelled from her school and is currently out on bail for engaging in sexual activity with a boy named A who is 15 years old. She is now being accused of taking the virginity of another teenager who is 16 years old, and as a result, she became pregnant.
Joynes has refuted allegations of engaging in any sexual activity and entered a plea of not guilty on six charges of sexual activity involving two teenagers. The charges include two instances of sexual activity when he held a position of trust as a teacher.
She's currently undergoing trial at the Manchester Crown Court, and it's prohibited to disclose the identities of the minors involved.
Today, Joynes went to the witness stand with a pink bonnet for babies inside her pants. Joe Allman, the prosecutor, began his interrogation by inquiring if she was attempting to elicit pity from the jury.
"Absolutely not," answered the individual who is 30 years old. "I rest with this every single night."
According to Mr. Allman, a male named A resided in the flat of the accused and traces of his sperm were detected on her bed linen. He additionally mentioned that another male identified as B visited her apartment and subsequently impregnated her.
The prosecuting representative inquired: "Does your viewpoint vary because of your gender, being a female and not a male?"
During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Boy A had deceived his mother in order to meet up with Joynes. She then brought him to the Trafford Centre, where she purchased a luxurious Gucci belt worth £350 and later took him to her residence in Salford Quays.
Joynes stated that she did not have any intention of engaging in sexual activity when she performed this action.
Earlier today, Joynes was questioned by her own lawyer and confessed to exchanging messages with Boy A through Snapchat.
According to her, they had an agreement that he would spend the night at her apartment. However, he slept on the couch and they did not engage in sexual activity.
The accused informed that they intended to purchase food, however, Boy A stated that he did not have an appetite and instead said to her, "I believe you understand what I intend to accomplish?"
Joynes informed the court that she responded to the situation by laughing uncomfortably and moving towards the couch to sit with the other person.
According to her, he inquired about the number of individuals she had slept with. In response, she stated that her count was likely lower than his.
I believed that he desired an outcome, but it was impossible to achieve. I clarified that I had been in a committed relationship for nine years, and moving on from it had been a difficult experience for me. Thus, engaging in such behavior aligned with someone who I am not."
I informed him that there was no possibility of anything of a sexual nature occurring.

When her attorney Michael O'Brien inquired whether she would alter anything about her conduct, the accused answered, "I would modify everything."
She stated that it was inappropriate for her, as an educator, to have any type of interaction with a student.
I lowered my defenses and succumbed to the focus he was giving me. The Covid era was a significant challenge for me. I reckon I felt very lonely, and I enjoyed the focus he was giving me, even though that statement sounds dreadful.
Following rumors that spread, Joynes was apprehended and put on suspension from her teaching position. She was granted bail, allowing authorities to investigate her communication with Boy A.
During her suspension, she exchanged messages with Boy B through Snapchat, even though she was instructed not to communicate with anyone below 18 years of age.
Joynes expressed her interest in Boy B and strongly believed that he showed true concern.
In simpler terms, the woman claims that she never engaged in any sexual activity with Boy B until after she had been fired from her teaching job. She also argues that since she was no longer in a position of authority over him, there was no breach of trust.
Unable to hold back her tears, she narrated to the court the unfortunate incident that occurred to her daughter, who she had with Boy B.
She shared that a sudden legal proceeding took place and shortly after her baby's birth, she was separated from her. It took only a day for this separation to happen.
Currently, I only communicate with her thrice a week for a duration of three hours.
