The manager, Philippe Clement, believes that for Rangers to be successful in the transfer market, they must participate in the Champions League.

He mentioned that the funds obtained from qualifying for the Champions League will greatly impact their efforts to end Celtic's reign, as they have dominated and won 9 out of the last 10 SPL titles.

Being in the Champions League would make a huge impact for the club and the players. The players would receive higher pay, which is why they prefer it.
