The Princess Royal is in the hospital for a minor head injury and concussion that was likely caused by a horse.

Princess Anne, aged 73, is predicted to fully recover quickly after an incident at her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire on Sunday, stated Buckingham Palace. They also mentioned that she is doing well in her recovery and is currently in a comfortable state.

The doctors said that the head injury matches the kind of injury that could happen from being hit by a horse's legs or head.

"The King has been deeply updated and sends his love and best wishes to the Princess for a quick recovery, along with the rest of the Royal Family," the statement from the palace said.

Princess Anne's visit to Canada, which was scheduled for later this week, has been rescheduled. Additionally, she will not be attending the state banquet for the Japanese state visit on Tuesday.

The Princess Royal got hurt on Sunday afternoon while taking a stroll on her property with horses nearby.

Due to the princess's head injury, it remains unclear what precisely led to the wound on her head.

Emergency responders were contacted to the property and transported the princess to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

The princess is awake and is expected to remain in the hospital until the end of the week "as a precaution for monitoring," according to a statement from Buckingham Palace.

Southmead is a hospital that is part of the North Bristol NHS Trust and offers a range of important medical services, including neuroscience.

Her spouse, Admiral Laurence, and her children, Zara and Peter, were on the property when the incident occurred. Admiral Laurence accompanied her to the hospital afterwards.

Buckingham Palace announced that the Princess Royal suffered some minor injuries and a concussion during an incident at the Gatcombe Park estate last night.

According to the NHS, a concussion can occur when the brain is temporarily injured by a bump, hit, or sudden impact.

It may lead to memory loss, fatigue, and difficulty focusing, and it might take a few weeks to fully recuperate.

Princess Anne being admitted to the hospital is the most recent health issue affecting the Royal Family.

This year, both King Charles and the Princess of Wales received a cancer diagnosis, which has affected their ability to participate in public appearances.

Princess Anne, famous for her dedication and work ethic, has been stepping in to assist with various responsibilities and events while other members of the royal family are away. This has been a great help in ensuring that the royal duties are still being carried out effectively.

This week she had a variety of events lined up, such as the visit from Japan's officials, along with other commitments in Scotland, Hampshire, and Gloucestershire.

Her commitment to serving the public, along with her straightforward attitude, has contributed to her reputation as one of the most beloved members of the royal family, as shown by her consistently strong approval ratings in surveys.

She is famous for her love of horses and her success in horseback riding competitions, making history as the initial Royal Family member to take part in the Olympic Games. This happened in Montreal in 1976.

She was born as the second child of Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, making her third in line to the throne at the time. Currently, she is 17th in the line of succession.

She has been married two times. The father of her two children, Peter and Zara, is her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips.
