The Princess Royal is currently in the hospital receiving treatment for a minor head injury and concussion that was likely caused by a horse.

Princess Anne, who is 73 years old, is predicted to recover completely and quickly after an incident at her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire on Sunday, according to Buckingham Palace.

Reports indicate that her injury is in line with being hit by a horse's head or legs.

The King has been regularly updated and sends his warmest love and good wishes to the Princess for a quick recovery, along with the entire Royal Family.

Princess Anne's visit to Canada, scheduled to start at the end of this week, has been pushed back. Additionally, she will not be attending the state dinner for the Japanese state visit on Tuesday.

The Princess Royal got hurt while taking a walk on her property on Sunday evening, where there were horses present.

The reason for the head injury is not known for sure, and the uncertainty suggests that the princess may have experienced a concussion during the incident.

The princess was rushed to Southmead Hospital in Bristol after emergency services were alerted and dispatched to the estate.

The princess is awake and is scheduled to remain in the hospital until later this week for observation purposes, as a precautionary measure, according to a statement from Buckingham Palace.

Southmead is a hospital that is part of the North Bristol NHS Trust. It provides a range of medical services, with a particular focus on neuroscience.

Her spouse, Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, and her children Zara and Peter were present on the property when the incident occurred. Following the incident, her husband accompanied her to the hospital.

According to a statement from Buckingham Palace, Princess Anne was injured and suffered a concussion during an incident at Gatcombe Park yesterday evening.

As per information from the NHS, a concussion may occur when the brain is temporarily injured due to impact from a bump, blow, or jolt.

It may lead to memory loss, fatigue, and difficulty focusing, and it may take a few weeks to fully recover.

Princess Anne being hospitalized is the most recent health issue for the Royal Family.

King Charles and the Princess of Wales were both diagnosed with cancer this year, which has led to them reducing their public appearances.

Princess Anne, recognized as one of the most dedicated members of the royal family, stepped up to assist with various events while other royals were unavailable, showing her support for the limited royal staff.

This week she had a busy schedule with a variety of events lined up, such as the Japanese state visit, along with other commitments in Scotland, Hampshire, and Gloucestershire.

Her commitment to serving the public, along with her straightforward manner, has contributed to her reputation as one of the most beloved members of the royal family, as evidenced by her consistently positive ratings in various polls.

She has a passion for horses and has excelled in equestrian sports. She made history as the initial Royal Family member to participate in the Olympics, specifically in the Montreal games in 1976.

Being the second child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, she was originally ranked third in line to the throne at birth. However, she is currently 17th in line to the throne.

She has been married two times. Her first spouse, Captain Mark Phillips, is the dad of her two kids, Peter and Zara.
