Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal have expressed that it will be challenging for them to handle the idea of their Irish families watching their intimate scenes on the big screen.

The actors from Ireland act together in the romantic and fantasy drama titled "All Of Us Strangers". They depict neighbours who develop a relationship.

Mescal, who gained fame for his portrayal of intimate scenes in the popular romantic drama Normal People, recently shared on BBC One's The Graham Norton Show that it's quite challenging to distribute tickets for the Irish premiere, especially when it comes to accommodating all the relatives.

"They have previously witnessed my buttocks, however, this film contains additional content, in my opinion."

Scott, who is recognized for his roles in Sherlock and Fleabag, commented: "I'd rather not be present when my parents view it."

Mescal, who hails from Maynooth, was nominated for a Bafta award in the supporting actor category for his role in All Of Us Strangers. This comes after he was previously nominated in the best actor category for his performance in Aftersun during last year's awards show.

The movie delves into the pain Scott's character experiences after the loss of his parents, and it received six nominations for the prestigious Bafta awards. These nominations included recognition for Andrew Haigh, the writer of the Looking series, who was nominated for best director, as well as a nomination for outstanding British film.

Scott, who was born in Dublin, stated that the movie is difficult to discuss because it might seem unconventional. However, it's stunning and evokes profound sentiments.

The content contains a story about revealing one's true identity, and it's focused on understanding how to love and having the boldness to express it.

So many individuals have truly accepted it. Watching the movie will make you fall in love with it, and we are exceedingly proud of it.

Mescal, who was up for an Academy Award for his leading role in Aftersun, a movie depicting a father's battles with mental health while vacationing with his child, is gearing up to appear in the highly anticipated sequel to the hit film Gladiator.

The initial motion picture was brought out in 2000 and had a worldwide success, being nominated for the Academy Awards 12 times. It managed to win five trophies, one of them being the best actor accolade for Russell Crowe's role as Maximus Decimus Meridius, the Roman commander.

The upcoming movie Gladiator 2 is directed by Sir Ridley Scott and features Connie Nielsen in the role of Lucilla, who is the sister of the emperor Commodus.

Mescal, who is said to be playing Lucilla's son Lucius when he is older, shared that filming is now complete and he has made it through. He is unable to disclose any details, but the film is set to be released during the Thanksgiving season later this year.

Da’Vine Joy Randolph from The Holdovers and Kingsley Ben-Adir from Barbie and High Fidelity also joined Graham Norton on the sofa.

Ben-Adir, who stars in the biopic Bob Marley: One Love portraying the legendary reggae musician, expressed feeling "frightened" during the initial day of filming on the set.

The British actor who is currently 37 years old said that he didn't have much knowledge about his story. To gain more insight into his life, he conversed with several of his close pals and family members. Though he was a well-known icon and a person to admire, the actor was interested in identifying him as an ordinary man and a caring dad.

The presentation by Norton also featured acts by The Last Dinner Party, an Indie rock group.

You can catch The Graham Norton Show on BBC One every Friday at 10:40 in the evening.
