Paul Mescal Just Hinted That He's Set To Work Again With 'Normal People' Co-Star Daisy Edgar-Jones
Paul Mescal has dropped a significant hint that he might be reuniting with his Normal People co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones. He revealed that they are both 'flirting' with the possibility of collaborating on a new project together.
In a recent interview with Variety on Wednesday, just before the release of Ridley Scott's Gladiator II, Mescal discussed the possibilities that lie ahead for the duo.

He mentioned that even with a packed agenda ahead, they are essentially toying with the concept of what their next steps should entail.
In May, the duo expressed their regrets for "misleading" fans after they posted vague messages about having "news to share." This caused many of their followers to speculate that they were going to announce a second season of Normal People, the popular BBC show that made them famous.
"We deeply apologize if we gave the wrong impression; this is not an announcement for season two," Mescal stated in an Instagram video with Edgar-Jones, who portrayed Marianne in the BBC series. The unexpected news about the duo actually pertains to a marathon screening of Normal People that they participated in back in June.
Fans of the show can hold onto hope for now, as Edgar-Jones highlighted in the video that although a second season hasn't been confirmed, there's still a possibility for another installment. "There's still time, so keep believing," she mentioned.

The show's creators have never definitively said that a second season of the Sally Rooney adaptation is out of the question. Lenny Abrahamson, one of the show's key figures, mentioned in an interview with Deadline's Award Line Magazine in July 2020, "I can’t help but think that if all the right conditions came together, I would really like to explore their lives again in five years. It would be interesting to see what has happened to them—are they parents now? What kind of relationships are they in that might change when they reconnect?"
Normal People, first released as a book in 2018, follows the lives of schoolmates Marianne and Connell, portrayed by Mescal. The story explores the intricate nature of their friendship and the romantic feelings that gradually develop between them.
