Swan on rail tracks causes delays between Reading and London

Paddington

A video was captured of the swan while a train was passing by.

The movement of trains on a bustling railway line was stopped due to the presence of a swan wandering onto the tracks.

Network Rail reported that the transportation services passing through Maidenhead came to a halt around 11:25 BST. This happened because the group responsible for maintaining the rail network deemed it necessary to ensure the secure removal of an animal before resuming travel operations.

During a train journey from Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington, the train conductor declared that a swan had relocated "directly below the front part of the train."

Expecting an interruption till 2 pm.

Creating a strategy, the train manager informed travelers that staff members could possibly "collect the swan" and transport it towards Slough, in order to deliver it to animal care organizations.

He included: "Our aim is to discover a solution that is safe and compassionate, which I realize is causing a holdup. I apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing."

A representative from Network Rail stated that the primary rail route spanning from Reading to London Paddington was accessible again by 11:20.
