Two Premium Bonds Winners From West Sussex And Manchester Win £1M

This month, two lucky Premium Bonds owners from West Sussex and Manchester have won the £1 million prize.

In the September draw, there were over 5.9 million prizes awarded, totaling a payout of more than £459 million.

The initial Bond number chosen was 388VE682612 and is owned by a lucky individual from West Sussex. This winner has an investment of £18,101 in Premium Bonds and bought their winning Bond in April of 2020.

Another person who won a million pounds in the Bond draw this month is someone with the number 569RS008033 and they live in Manchester. They have a total of £21,700 in Premium Bonds and bought the lucky one in February 2024.

Andrew Westhead, the Retail Director of NS&I, expressed his congratulations to the individuals who became millionaires in West Sussex and Manchester this month. He described it as a wonderful way to end the summer season.

I also want to give a big congratulations to the winner who won a £100,000 prize with only spending £525.

Some people with few Premium Bonds still have a chance at winning large prizes. For example, in the latest draw, one person with a small amount of Premium Bonds won a big prize.

In the latest draw in September, a person from Birmingham won a big prize of £100,000 with just £525 put into Premium Bonds.

Verifying rewards in your Premium Bonds account is simple. Premium Bonds owners can check if they have won a prize in the September draw starting on Tuesday 3 September.

Simply go to the NS&I website and use the prize checker tool, download the prize checker app, or inquire through Alexa. Make sure you have your Premium Bonds holder's number handy when checking on the NS&I website.

To confirm through the app, you can input either your NS&I account number or the account holder's number. You can also see if there are any prizes that you haven't claimed yet.

In the September 2024 prize draw, a grand total of 5,961,610 prizes will be awarded, amounting to a total value of £459,043,775. There were 125,193,758,564 Bond numbers that qualified for the draw.

Winners of Premium Bonds prizes will be notified of their winnings if they have provided their contact information. However, there are times when customers change their address or forget to update their contact information with NS&I. As a result, prizes may go unclaimed, particularly for those who choose to receive their prizes by check. To prevent this, original paper Bonds can be registered online or by contacting the helpline at 08085 007 007.

In West Sussex, there are currently 36,656 prizes waiting to be claimed, totaling £1,248,425. The prize that has been unclaimed for the longest time is worth £25, dating back to the April 1962 draw. The biggest unclaimed prize in West Sussex is worth £10,000 and is from the January 2023 draw.

In Manchester, there are 25,127 prizes that have not been collected, with a total value of £933,800. The earliest unclaimed prize dates back to August 1963, worth £25. The biggest unclaimed prize in Manchester is from the February 2016 draw, valued at £50,000.

Customers have the option to receive their winnings directly in their bank account or to reinvest them in more Premium Bonds. The majority of prizes, 9 out of 10, are already paid out in this manner, which is faster and more secure than waiting for a check.

Visitors can learn how to update their prize payment choices on this website. Anyone who thinks they might have a prize that they haven't claimed yet can quickly check by using NS&I's online prize checker or the prize checker app.

Right now, there are 2,448,758 prizes that have not been collected yet, totaling a value of £87,318,950.
