Nottingham Forest v Bournemouth match delayed after Danilo suffers horror injury - as screens placed around player
The game between Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth was postponed because midfielder Danilo sustained a gruesome leg injury.
The Brazilian soccer player landed in a strange way after being tackled by Antoine Semenyo in the seventh minute at The City Ground on Saturday.
The referee and Danilo's teammates quickly asked for help when they saw he was not well. Staff rushed onto the field and set up screens around the 23-year-old as he was treated by medical personnel.
The Premier League match was delayed for 10 minutes as Danilo, who transferred to Forest from Palmeiras in the previous year, was taken off on a stretcher with a splint on his left leg.
The reporter from Sky Sports, Laura Hunter, who was at the game, called the situation a "very bad collision", and mentioned that there was a "serious worry for Danilo".
She mentioned that there was a quiet atmosphere at the City Ground as Danilo was taken off on a stretcher by the medical team and ambulance staff.
Both groups of supporters are cheering for him.
