Nottingham Forest considering loan move for Aston Villa’s Alex Moreno

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest is thinking about bringing in Alex Moreno on a temporary basis from Aston Villa.

Villa has three experienced left-backs, including Lucas Digne and recently acquired Ian Maatsen. This situation opens up an opportunity for other clubs to potentially sign Moreno.

Forest are considering a deal to bring the Spaniard on board for the entire season, and Villa knows that they are interested. Meanwhile, Moreno is thinking about the different choices he has available to him.

The team from East Midlands has limited options for the position, but the 31-year-old stands out due to his experience and accessibility.

Additionally, Besiktas, Galatasaray, Nice, Real Betis, and Villarreal have also shown interest.

Moreno transferred to Villa from Betis in January 2023 and became a key player on the team that finished fourth in the Premier League last season, earning a spot in the Champions League.

He has played in 48 games with Unai Emery as manager, but with Digne likely staying and Maatsen joining recently, other teams have a chance to lure Moreno away from Villa Park before the transfer window ends on September 30th.
