United Against Ball Eye Issues

Playing in front of his local fans in Liverpool was a huge milestone for Nick Ball, but now he’s eager to take on other champions in the nine-stone division.

"I've got one out of four, and there are three more out there that I'm going after," Ball mentioned during a broadcast on TNT Sports.

Ball mentioned, "I really want to get that green one because it should rightfully belong to me," referring to WBC Champion Rey Vargas, with whom he had a contentious draw back in March.

Ball Defeats Rios In The 10th Round

After taking a moment to regroup in Round 9, Ball unleashed a barrage of punches, using his jab to set up strong uppercuts with both hands, followed by a right hand that knocked Rios out of the ring. Rios managed to crawl back in under the bottom rope, but his corner decided to stop the fight by throwing in the towel.

The pace of the game slowed down during that round, with only a few bursts of activity. Nevertheless, he likely still came out on top.

Ball had another strong round, showcasing his skills. Rios is managing to stay in the fight and connects with a couple of left hooks to the body. However, Ball's ability to switch stances continues to deliver powerful punches.

Rios gets knocked down right at the start. He doesn't believe it should count as a knockdown, but a powerful left hook landed during their exchange. Ball maintains a steady rhythm throughout the round, but at the end, he launches into a long series of punches.

Rios put in another solid performance in this round, but Ball's late surge likely earned him the round. However, Ball is losing a significant amount of blood from his nose at the end of each round, which could be a concern moving forward.

Ball is somewhat hampered by his bleeding nose, while Rios is finding a bit more success. Although Ball is still landing more shots, the frenetic pace of the match has started to slow down.

Ball wasn't as busy in this round since he took a much-needed rest, but he still controlled the fight with his accurate and powerful jab, landing it effortlessly.

Ball kicks off the round with an impressive performance, delivering a strong jab followed by a relentless thirty-second attack that culminates in a left uppercut, knocking Rios to the canvas. Despite Ball landing what feels like fifty additional punches throughout the rest of the round, Rios manages to hold on until the end.

Rios is too rigid, giving Ball the opportunity to connect with powerful punches. Ball consistently lands his looping right hand around Rios’s defenses. When Rios moves straight back, it opens the door for Ball to deliver a clean straight right while Rios is pinned against the ropes.

The current WBA featherweight champion starts strong, landing precise punches to the body in the early moments. Halfway through the round, he targets Rios’s head with powerful strikes, pushing him back into the corner. In the final minute, Ball launches another aggressive attack. It’s an impressive start for the fighter in front of his home crowd.

The Ball Is Coming His Way!

As the 'Wrecking Ball' makes its way to the ring, the roof gets blown off to the sounds of "Many Men (Wish Death)" by 50 Cent.

The Big Event Is Coming Soon!

Veteran American Ronny Rios (34-4), who has competed for a title twice, is set to step into the ring.

Rafferty: Hard Work Pays Off

"I haven't returned home in half a year," Rafferty shared during a heartfelt interview on TNT Sports, before addressing Frank Warren with a message.

"Frank, I'll reveal the metal to you, and you just need to show me the cash!"

Rafferty Claims Victory By Stoppage!

Alan Smith, the referee, calls off the match when he realizes that his fighter can no longer go on. As a result, Rafferty is crowned the new British and Commonwealth super-lightweight champion. Interestingly, at the moment the fight was halted, two scorecards showed the bout was even, while the third had Turner ahead by four points.

Turner finally hits the mat at the end of the round, and it was about time. Rafferty landed a powerful right hand that halted Turner right against the ropes. Although Turner managed to land a few solid left punches, Rafferty absorbed them and, with nothing left in the tank, a body shot sent Turner reeling back onto the ropes before he fell to the floor.

Rafferty had a stronger round, landing solid body punches and pinning Turner against the ropes several times.

Turner's team is advising their fighter to stay focused and alert, as the match is going exceptionally well. They warn that if he loses his concentration, Rafferty's powerful punches could swing the momentum back in his favor.

Everything remains the same. Turner is outboxing his opponent effortlessly. Richie Woodhall scores it 5-1 in favor of Turner, while I have it 6-0. The only uncertainty is whether Turner will run out of energy as the fight goes on.

Rafferty managed to land a few good left hooks, but it's Turner who remains in control of the match with his smooth and skillful boxing style.

Turner is dominating the match without giving up any points. Known as 'The Showman', he is shifting side to side rather than retreating and consistently landing punches on Rafferty, causing a cut to form above his eye.

Turner is getting another chance, but it seems like he’s beginning to sense Rafferty’s strength and is now having to fight more defensively.

Rafferty mentioned that he hasn't fought against a left-handed boxer before, and it's evident in how he’s performing right now. Although Turner may not hit as hard, he is gaining confidence and effectively connecting with his combinations as the round progresses.

Turner responds to Rafferty's attacks with quick counter punches whenever the fighter from Lancashire misses his jab.

Someone's "O" Must Go!

Jack Rafferty (with a record of 23 wins, 0 losses, and 14 knockouts) will face off against Henry Turner (who boasts a record of 13 wins, 0 losses, and 5 knockouts) to compete for the vacant British and Commonwealth titles in the super-lightweight division.

Turner Defeats Corinaldesi In Round 1

A powerful uppercut from the lead hand knocked Corinaldesi to the ground, prompting the referee to stop the fight right away. Turner kept pushing the Argentine fighter against the ropes, delivering damaging hooks to his body with both hands. As the round was coming to a close, 'El Terrier' delivered the decisive punch that ended the match.

Up next in the ring is another hometown competitor: 'El Terrier' Jack D Turner, boasting an undefeated record of 8 wins, 7 of which are by knockout. He will be going up against Argentine fighter Gonzalo Corinaldesi, who has a record of 5 wins and 6 losses.

Fury Triumphs By Decision

The simplest bout to judge throughout the evening. It was a clear 40-36 advantage for Fury.

Both fighters achieved their goals from the competition. Fury dominated each round and demonstrated his talent. Meanwhile, Arrowsmith made it through all four rounds, setting himself up for another opportunity to earn a paycheck in the near future.

"Richie Woodhall, the former super-middleweight champion, describes Fury as someone who effortlessly switches between fighting stances."

He's easily gaining the upper hand in the battle.

There hasn't been any feedback from Arrowsmith, which makes it difficult to assess the situation, but Fury has delivered some impressive jabs and uppercuts.

Walter Fury demonstrates his fighting instincts, even making his first appearance in the ring at 27. He’s naturally a switch hitter and handles the opening round with ease.

Tyson Fury Has Arrived!

He's here to see his cousin Walter Fury compete, as he's up next. As usual, the conversation shifted to the upcoming rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, which you can catch live on TNT Sports Box Office.

"I'm prepared to take on my opponent tomorrow," Fury stated, while emphasizing that a match with Anthony Joshua needs to take place down the line.

"It would be a shame if we didn't take a stand. Even if AJ were to lose his next twenty matches, we still need to go for it. We have to make our voices heard, regardless of whether we're both 50 years old."

"I’ve already faced one major defeat against David Price. At one point, he was seen as a rising star in Britain, and the fight was shaping up to be something special. It could have taken place in either Liverpool or Manchester and would have been a huge event."

Herrera Defeats Flores In Round 3!

He stepped into the ring ready to fight! He delivered a powerful right hook that created an opening for a sharp straight left followed by a left uppercut to the body, knocking Flores down. Even when he got back up, he still looked wobbly.

In a round where both boxers connected with solid left jabs, Herrera showed some signs of frustration with Flores.

Both fighters displayed their skills in the opening round, but as is often the case with two left-handers, things weren't always clean and organized.

Exciting Global Contest Happening Now!

Jadier Herrera, with an impressive record of 15 wins and 13 knockouts, hails from Cuba and is set to take on Nicaraguan fighter Oliver Flores, who has a record of 31 wins, 5 losses, and 2 draws, including 20 knockouts. The match will take place in the super-featherweight division.

We appreciate you tuning in to our recap of the thrilling boxing event in Liverpool. The night has already featured some exciting matches, with Andrew Cain demonstrating exactly why he's gaining so much recognition in the sport.
