Some supporters of Nick Ball have voiced their belief that he was unfairly treated during his match against Rey Vargas, which resulted in a split draw at the undercard of the Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou event.

Right from the start of the game in Riyadh, Ball was at a disadvantage because he was almost half a foot shorter and had lesser reach compared to his opponent. It was a difficult challenge for him.

At the start, Ball had a tough time putting his strategy into action because Vargas was skilled at controlling the distance. Whenever Ball tried to move closer, Vargas would capitalize on his advantage and attack Liverpool's fighter.

It was clear that Ball was extremely frustrated when he finally got inside in the third round. The referee had to caution him for too much holding, and as a result, he lost a point.

In the middle rounds, Vargas persisted with defensive tactics, while ball pressed forward without causing any significant impact.

The announcement stirred up a lot of debate on social media. One of the people who shared their bewilderment with the ruling was ex-Premier League forward, Darren Bent.
