Spain is sure that their captain, Alvaro Morata, will be ready to play in Sunday's Euro 2024 final despite getting injured in a strange incident following their 2-1 win against France.

Morata was celebrating Spain's win in the semi-finals with his teammates in Munich when a security guard accidentally bumped into him while trying to stop a fan from running onto the field.

The 31-year-old was spotted holding onto his right knee after the crash and will be examined.

The coach of Spain, Luis de la Fuente, stated that they will hold off on making a decision about Alvaro until tomorrow.

We don't believe it's serious, but he is experiencing pain in his leg. We are hopeful that he will recover soon.

De la Fuente spoke highly of teenage winger Lamine Yamal, who made history by becoming the youngest scorer in European Championship at just 16 years and 362 days old.

Yamal scored a fantastic goal from 25 yards out in the 21st minute to equalize. Then, Dani Olmo scored the winning goal just four minutes later.

De la Fuente complimented the player's skills, calling him a genius. He emphasized the importance of recognizing his talent and supporting him.

I want to offer him some guidance like I do in private. I suggest he remains humble and stays grounded, and approaches learning with the same attitude and maturity he displays during games.

Basically, I am happy that he is from Spain. We are glad to have him and look forward to being able to enjoy his presence for a long time.

Fans of Chelsea's Marc Cucurella showed their disapproval during the match, possibly in response to a handball incident that wasn't penalized during Spain's win over Germany in the quarter-finals.

De la Fuente mentioned that he was unsure why the crowd was booing him, but all it did was inspire him because he is a dedicated professional. He was able to handle the pressure and push through.

I do not support any disrespect and I believe that those who booed him do not accurately reflect Germany, the sports community, or anything else.

The French team, known as Les Bleus, were ahead thanks to Randal Kolo Muani's header in the ninth minute. This goal was the first scored by a French player during open play in Euro 2024. However, they continued to struggle to create scoring opportunities.

Captain Kylian Mbappe chose not to wear the protective mask that was previously covering his nose, which he had injured during France's first victory against Austria.

When questioned why Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann didn't perform well at the tournament, manager Didier Deschamps explained that it was because they had just finished their season and Mbappe had also suffered an injury.

"Although we made it to the semi-finals, his performance was not up to his usual standard."

I believe my players put in effort, but they did not perform at their full potential during this Euros due to various factors.

Deschamps, who has been the boss since 2012 and lead the team to victory in the 2018 World Cup, still has two years remaining on his contract.

When asked if he planned to remain in his position until the 2026 World Cup, Deschamps responded by saying that he had just lost the semi-final and suggested asking the president instead. He refused to directly answer the question, stating that the situation was clear enough.
