Latest Updates Entertainment More from the World of Showbiz
Michael Schumacher was seen in public for the first time since his serious skiing accident in December 2013.
The famous Formula 1 driver was said to have attended his daughter Gina's wedding last weekend, held at the family's luxurious €32 million mansion in Mallorca.
Michael's daughter Gina married her longtime partner Iain Bethke in an extravagant ceremony at the mansion on Saturday. Following the event, Gina shared her joy on social media, saying, "Yes to you, and yes to forever."
After his accident in the Alps, Michael Schumacher was in a medically induced coma for several months.
After coming back to his family home in Lake Geneva in September 2014, the German has been supported by his devoted wife Corinna and a group of medical experts. He hasn't appeared in public for the past ten years.
During this period, only a handful of close friends and relatives have been permitted to see Michael. Very few individuals, both from within the family and outside of it, are aware of the details about his health situation.
All wedding attendees were requested to leave their mobile phones at the entrance of the venue to avoid any unauthorized photos of Schumacher. Nonetheless, Michael's presence among other relatives could indicate an improvement in his health or that his wife may be becoming more accommodating.
There may be another family gathering for the Schumachers soon, as Mick Schumacher seemingly popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, Danish model Laila Hasanovic.
Ms. Hasanovic took to Instagram to share a picture of herself sporting a diamond ring on her hand.
