The two clubs are close to completing the agreement after West Ham made a better offer for the Wolves captain.

The Hammers made an initial offer of £25m to Wolves last month, but it was turned down as it did not meet the valuation set by the club.

However, West Ham has increased their bid by approximately £15 million and have reached a deal with Wolves for the transfer of the 27-year-old player.

The new manager of Irons, Julen Lopetegui, will now be working with Kilman again. Lopetegui previously coached Kilman during his time at Wolves.

Kilman is leaving Molineux after spending six years at the club. He originally joined from non-League Maidenhead in August 2018 for a £40,000 transfer fee.

Maidenhead has a noteworthy clause in their contract, estimated to be worth between 15% and 20%.

Kilman, who has played in 151 matches for the team, recently signed a new extended contract with Wolves less than a year ago after receiving attention from Napoli last summer.

Nayef Aguerd's time with the team is unclear as there is intense interest from Saudi Arabia, and Angelo Ogbonna departed after his contract ended.

The team is still talking about whether they will try again to sign Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo, even though their offer of €30m (£25.4m) was turned down.

West Ham are currently in discussions with Lyon regarding the potential transfer of Republic of Ireland's defender, Jake O'Brien.

The Hammers were unable to complete the signing of Flamengo defender Fabricio Bruno last month due to issues with the player's personal terms.

Kilman's Futsal Journey

Wolves player Max Kilman is not the only one who has gone from lower-level football to the Premier League, but his story is unique because he is also an England futsal player.

Futsal is a different version of soccer where teams have five players on each side. It's not just a typical five-a-side game though. In futsal, there are no walls around the field, kick-ins are used instead of throw-ins, and players are not allowed to make back passes. This sport is super popular in Brazil and Spain, which are the top-ranked teams in the world. In these countries, futsal is often used as a way to help young soccer players improve their skills.

Kilman's journey was unique, according to Michael Skubala, the head coach of the England futsal team. Skubala explains that Max did not play futsal alongside football, but instead focused solely on futsal with futsal coaches after leaving professional football.

His trip is very different in England.
