Who is Matija Sarkic?

Matija Sarkic is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Premier League. Born on February 22, 1998, in Lichtenstein, Sarkic began his youth career at Anderlecht before joining Benfica in 2014. However, he did not manage to break into the first team during his spell there and later moved to Aston Villa in 2015.

After playing for Villa's academy teams, the Montenegrin goalkeeper went on loan to various clubs such as Wigan Athletic, Stratford Town, and Livingston, before making a permanent switch to Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2020.
