Hollywood star, Ryan Gosling expressed his disappointment in the Academy Awards for overlooking Barbie's actresses, Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie for significant award categories.

Gosling expressed gratitude for receiving a nomination in the best supporting actor category for his performance as Ken, a plastic figurine.

Ken and Barbie are a package deal, just like a Barbie film would not be complete without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie.

Numerous people had anticipated Gerwig and Robbie to receive nods in the categories for top director and lead actress, in that order.

However, there was recognition for the two individuals in other categories. Actor Robbie received acknowledgement as a producer in the line-up for best picture. In addition, Gerwig, alongside her spouse Noah Baumbach, was nominated for best adapted screenplay.

The movie Barbie earned the most money in the year 2023, making a total of $1.44 billion in global revenue.

Gosling expressed his gratitude to CBS, the BBC's US collaborator, stating that he's deeply humbled to receive a nomination from his fellow workers, especially among so many exceptional artists in a remarkable year for film.

Simultaneously, the Canadian performer portrayed Gerwig and Robbie as the ones who deserve credit for producing this film that has made history and earned worldwide recognition.

It would not be feasible to acknowledge anyone involved in the film if it weren't for their exceptional skills, determination, and brilliance.

I am extremely let down that they did not receive any nominations in the categories they were eligible for."

Despite the challenges they faced, with only a few lifeless and revealing dolls that mercifully had no crotch, they managed to bring joy, sadness, and progress in our society. Their contributions should be acknowledged alongside the other highly deserving candidates.

Gosling expressed his delight for America Ferrera, who received a nomination for the best supporting actress. Additionally, he praised the rest of the cast and crew, referring to them as incredible artists who contributed their talents to creating a film that could potentially make history.

In an unexpected turn of events, America Ferrera from Barbie's was nominated for the best supporting actress category, even though many had not considered her as a top contender.

The female performer from America expressed her great letdown about Gerwig and Robbie not receiving recognition in the crucial nominations classes.

In general, the Barbie movie was nominated for a total of eight awards, which includes the prestigious best picture category.

Oppenheimer by Christopher Nolan has obtained 13 nominations, making it the top in terms of box office success.

Acting awards nominations were given to Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt and Robert Downey Jr, while Nolan received a nomination for the top director award.

"Poor Things" received 11 nominations and was the second-most recognized movie. The film tells the story of a baby whose brain was moved into the body of an adult woman.
