Margot Robbie Is Expecting First Child With Husband Tom Ackerley

Margot Robbie and her husband Tom Ackerley are going to have a baby! People magazine confirmed the news after seeing pictures of the couple at Lake Como, where Margot was clearly showing a baby bump. She was wearing a short white shirt and a black jacket, while Tom was helping her onto a boat.

The pair tied the knot in 2016 after crossing paths on the Suite Française film set back in 2013. Robbie was taking the lead onscreen while Ackerley was behind the scenes as an assistant director. Their friendship blossomed and they later co-founded LuckyChap, along with Sophia Kerr and Josey McNamara. Eventually, their working relationship turned into a romantic one. Through LuckyChap, they produced several of Robbie's hit films like I, Tonya, Birds of Prey, and Barbie.

"We had been friends for such a long time," Robbie told Vogue in 2016. "I always had feelings for him, but I never thought he felt the same way. I didn't want to risk our friendship by confessing my feelings. But then it happened, and it felt completely natural for us to be together. It just made everything fall into place in a way that had never happened before."

In the end of June, Ackerley talked to The Times of London and said that his personal life and business life with Robbie are basically the same thing.

"It flows smoothly," Ackerley remarked. "There's no need to switch it on and off. It has all merged into one."

During the Critics Choice Awards in January, Robbie expressed to E! News, "I feel fortunate," and mentioned that she finds it "wonderful" to have a spouse who is not in the acting industry.

"He enjoys operating the camera," she mentioned. "He doesn't get bothered by any of this, he's simply the greatest ... I really like the term 'normie.'"
