Opinion: Marc Guiu looks like a complete striker but once again is too raw – Talk Chelsea

Marc Guiu

Barcelona's Marc Guiu is a striker currently connected to Chelsea. We can confirm that Chelsea is interested in him and negotiations are underway. Bayern Munich is also interested in him, and Barcelona has presented him with a new contract offer.

We are currently uncertain about whether he will join the first team now, or if he will be sent out on loan. Initial reports from sources at SPTC indicate that he is likely to go on loan or remain with Chelsea U21s. The trusted youth expert, The Secret Scout, suggests that a loan move is on the cards, and Matteo Moretto from Relevo has also mentioned the possibility of a loan to Strasbourg.

He appears really impressive, and what stands out to me is that he fits the striker role we need perfectly, not just in terms of experience and age. He is strong, tall (6ft 2in at just 18 years old suggests he may still grow taller, possibly reaching 6ft 3 or 4in), and plays as a traditional number 9 with a modern touch. I have watched him play multiple times and can confirm that he is an exciting and skilled striker. I am a big fan of his.

He is fast when running down the field and is skilled in various techniques. He can make connections with teammates, fall back to support the defense, play as the forward closest to the opposing team's goal, and, as I mentioned earlier, his height and physical strength make him stand out. He is a key player for the team. He is also very talented at scoring goals, with 8 goals in 24 games for both Barcelona B and Barcelona last season, a solid achievement for an 18-year-old player.

However, he may be too inexperienced to join the first team this summer. I wouldn't completely dismiss the possibility, though. He is clearly a striker in the making and still has areas of his game to improve on. He is demonstrating potential to become a top striker in the future. I see this as a great opportunity to get him for just £5m.
