An accident involving a truck carrying watermelons has resulted in the temporary closure of a section of the M25 motorway in order to remove the spilled fruit.

According to National Highways, there was an accident on the road that leads in the direction of the clock's movement. This incident occurred at junction 31, which is located near Purfleet in Essex.

According to a recent blog post on X, there was a call made to bring in a street cleaner to remove the scattered wreckage.

A single lane of the expressway has been made available again beyond the location, however, motorists are being cautioned about extensive wait times that persist as they approach the junction.
