Authorities are seeking witnesses following a fatal motorcycle accident on the M25.

A surveillance camera captured a picture of a truck, which is thought to be one of three vehicles that were part of the accident and then drove away from the location.

The event was brought to the attention of Kent Police shortly before 12:30 PM BST on Thursday. As a result, the motorway was closed in both directions between junctions five (Sevenoaks) and six (Godstone) until the early hours of Friday morning.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, lost his life at the scene, and his family has been notified.

According to Kent Police, the accident involved a blue Suzuki motorbike, a silver Toyota Corolla, and a truck featuring a white cab, a blue curtain-sided trailer, and yellow lettering.

The incident occurred on the clockwise lane between junction 5, where the A21 meets the M26, and the Clacket Lane Services before reaching junction 6.
