X Factor star Lucy Spraggan says Simon Cowell will walk her down the aisle at wedding

Lucy Spraggan, who used to participate in the X Factor, announced that she will tie the knot soon and Simon Cowell will escort her to the altar.
The vocalist shared on her Instagram account that she will be tying the knot with Emilia Smith, her significant other, this June.
Spraggan and the creator of X Factor are now friends, even though she previously compared her time on the show to being in an "abusive relationship."
According to her, she departed from the 2012 ITV program following the third week due to being sexually assaulted.
A hotel staff member admitted to assaulting Spraggan in 2013 and was given a 10-year jail term.
Cowell expressed that the situation Spraggan went through was very disturbing and sad.
When the singer left the show, she said it was because of sickness. Later, she commented that the television field needs to improve to ensure that those participating in reality programs are well-protected.
Both ITV and Fremantle, the group responsible for producing the program, stated that they were improving their measures for ensuring the safety and well-being of participants.
Spraggan decided not to remain anonymous in 2023 and revealed to the BBC that Cowell got in touch with her after she informed his team about her plans to write a book about her time on his show.
She reports that he stated, "Lucy, prior to discussing anything else, let me begin by apologizing."
Spraggan expressed her emotions that were stirred up because no other individual apologized to her for their actions. Remarkably, a single man approached her kindly, affirming her worth as a human being and this touched her deeply. It has been 11 years since the incident, and they have developed a bond of companionship since then.
The vocalist disclosed to Fabulous Magazine, a newspaper belonging to Sun, that she and her significant other were aboard a flight headed to visit Cowell when she proposed to Smith, saying "why don't we just tie the knot".
She recounted how one day, Simon was ready to go into the ocean when she asked him if he would give her to someone else. He answered affirmatively, saying "Yeah!" in agreement.
After taking a swim, he returned and expressed his great desire to do it. He even mentioned how much it would mean to him.
A couple confirmed their engagement a few weeks after deciding to get married. Spraggan shared with Fabulous that she proposed by kneeling down in front of 15 of Emilia's closest family and friends, causing everyone to shed tears of joy.
The singer declared her engagement on Instagram and revealed that she had been pals with her fiancée for a decade prior to realizing she had romantic feelings for her. She believes that once you understand your feelings, you just understand them.
