Liz Truss backs Trump with call for Republican presidential victory
Liz Truss, the prime minister with the shortest tenure in British history, has indirectly supported Donald Trump in the upcoming US presidential election. Truss has become infamous for having a shorter time in office than a lettuce.
In an article for the Wall Street Journal, Truss expressed her desire for a Republican president in the future. Truss, who holds the dubious record for being the shortest-serving occupant of No 10 Downing Street, was ousted by her own Conservative party due to her actions that caused an economic crisis in the UK.
Despite being accused of 91 criminal charges, which some involve trying to contest Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 election, Trump is still taking a comfortable lead in the Republican candidacy for the upcoming elections according to recent polls.
The section in the blog titled "The World Needs American Leadership Once More" talked about how Truss mentioned Ronald Reagan and how his leadership helped bring an end to the cold war.
Truss stated that the world requires more American leadership like that. She expressed her desire for a Republican President to take office in 2024. Truss believes that there must be conservative leadership in the US, which can fearlessly denounce aggressive governments as wicked and dangerous.
Truss did not mention Trump in her article, but she has previously spoken highly of him, describing him as "extremely talented" and "pleasant". Trump, in response, has expressed his deep admiration for Truss.
Truss wrote an article while on a visit to Washington accompanied by Conservative Friends of Ukraine. In the article, she pointed out that the western countries are not taking the threat of China, Iran, and Russia seriously enough. Truss, being a former UK foreign minister herself, expressed her concerns about the West being too relaxed about the downfall of the communist regimes.
Even though she didn't say his name, she seemed to disapprove of Biden's actions. She spoke about the importance of ensuring that Ukraine comes out as the winner and Russia as the loser, which is what Biden wants to achieve. However, there are many right-wing Republicans who are against this goal.
Truss expressed regret over the US's exit from Afghanistan, which was carried out during Biden's presidency but negotiated during Trump's time in office.
At the beginning of this year, Truss went to Washington to receive praise from the Heritage Foundation, a far-right organization that is aiding in the planning of another term for Trump. If Trump becomes the chosen candidate, he has expressed the desire to strengthen the grip of conservatives on important establishments and to zero in on those who oppose him politically.
Truss was abruptly removed from the position of power following the release of a compact financial plan that paired significant expenses with reductions in taxes. She was held accountable for the economic disorder that led to a significant increase in mortgage expenses and caused a sharp decrease in the value of the British currency.
The Daily Star publication broadcasted a live video of a lettuce and questioned if it would rot prior to the end of her position.
Tom Walker, a comedian who goes by the name Jonathan Pie when he performs, recently took to the internet to express his opinion on Liz Truss' remarks about her support for a Republican victory in the 2024 election. According to Walker, this endorsement essentially guarantees Donald Trump's return to office.
"If only he could also convince the lettuce to cooperate..."
