According to his statement on GB News, he claimed that the Islamists have taken over Mr. Khan and given control of our capital city to their friends.

After the pro-Palestinian protests outside Parliament, his remarks were criticized by the Conservative Party.

The head of the Labour Party, Anneliese Dodds, declared that the comments were undoubtedly discriminatory and biased against Muslims.

In writing about X, she stated that Rishi Sunak should take swift action and withdraw Mr Anderson's privileges. Additionally, Jonathan Ashworth, Labour’s shadow paymaster general, sent a letter to the prime minister demanding the same action. Ashworth criticized the Ashfield MP's comments as containing hateful racism towards Muslims.

If the whip is taken away, Mr Anderson will be basically kicked out of his party in Parliament.

According to a Conservative insider, Lee had only meant to convey that the mayor has completely failed in his role as Police and Crime Commissioner for London concerning the terrible Islamist demonstrations occurring in the city lately.

Last Wednesday, a group of demonstrators gathered at Parliament to oppose a proposed vote on a ceasefire presented by the SNP. The vote's management itself caused controversy.

In the Daily Telegraph, former Home Secretary Suella Braverman stated that "the truth is that the Islamists, extremists, and antisemites have taken control." This led to Mr. Anderson sharing his thoughts on the matter.

made by the American President, Donald Trump. Both parties have condemned his comments as inappropriate and unhelpful. UK politicians from the two major parties, Labour and Conservative, have expressed their disapproval of the statements made by the US President, Donald Trump, regarding Sadiq Khan. The two parties have denounced Trump’s words as unsuitable and not advantageous.

Mr Anderson made a statement that seemed to allude to the article in question. He stated that he does not believe that Islamists have taken control of our country. However, he does believe that they have taken control of Khan and London, as well as Starmer.

Since 2016, Mr Khan has held the esteemed position of London's mayor, making history as the first Muslim to do so.

On X's blog, Sajid Javid, who used to be a Chancellor for the Conservative party, shared a video of Mr Anderson's remarks and expressed his disagreement by stating "that's an absurd statement".

Neil Garratt, the leader of the Conservative party in City Hall, stated that he has plenty of criticisms for Mayor Khan. However, he clarified that Mayor Khan is not an Islamist and is not influenced by Islamists. He strongly opposes anyone who claims otherwise.

Iman Atta, who is in charge of Tell Mama, a charity that claims to be the primary organization for tracking acts of anti-Muslim prejudice in the United Kingdom, labeled the Conservative Party member's statements as "deeply insulting and extremely risky."

During a discussion on BBC Radio 4's Today programme, Ms Atta expressed that the Mayor of London often faces numerous anti-Muslim assaults "consistently". She further noted the significance of politicians relaying a distinct message that prejudice against Muslims is intolerable just like antisemitism is considered unacceptable in the nation.

Mr. Anderson used to be one of the deputy chairmen of the Conservative Party, however, he stepped down from his position in January as he wanted to defy the government’s decision on the Rwanda vote.

At the moment, he is among several Conservative members of parliament who host a program on GB News.

In the meantime, ex-leader of the Conservative Party, Liz Truss, is facing criticism for endorsing unfounded theories regarding the reasons behind her short-lived 49-day term as prime minister during her speeches at gatherings affiliated with conservative ideology in the United States.

She resigned from her political position due to a difficult and unstable time in the government. This led to the abandonment of tax reductions that caused a severe negative reaction in the financial markets.

There are people who have expressed disapproval towards her for not interrupting a panel conversation with Steve Bannon, who used the term "hero" to refer to the ex-leader of the English Defence League and opponent of Islam, Tommy Robinson.

According to Mr. Ashworth, it is extremely harmful to our democracy, institutions, and social harmony for a significant politician to promote such obvious conspiracy theories. He also requested that the prime minister strip Ms. Truss of her whip.

He said: "You are aware that it wasn't a group of covert individuals in the government service who acted against Liz Truss' unsupported £45bn tax reductions and caused the financial markets to spiral out of control, leading to the end of her term. It was actually the other way around."

The BBC has reached out to the Conservative Party to get their opinion.
