The largest music event in England happened on Saturday overseas, and a renowned global celebrity was awarded one of the most prestigious accolades.

Kylie Minogue, the beloved pop star from Australia, was given the global icon award at the Brit Awards in London. This award was a celebration of her impressive music career, which has spanned close to 40 years. Additionally, she was up for consideration for international artist of the year at the ceremony. To conclude the show on a high note, Kylie graced the stage with a spectacular medley performance of her most popular songs.

Before the show, Minogue chatted with the Brit Award reporters and mentioned that she has been very busy with all the awards and events lately, and she hasn't had a chance to relax. However, she is eagerly anticipating tonight's show.

Dua Lipa bestowed Minogue with the prestigious global icon award and praised her as "the timeless queen of pop."

As Minogue took to the stage to receive the accolade, she expressed, "I am truly touched by the passion for music and the bond it creates with individuals."

"I still feel like the 14-year-old girl in her bedroom who fantasizes about creating music," she expressed.

Following her award acceptance, Minogue returned to the stage for the last performance of the evening. She sang a collection of her popular songs, including "Padam, Padam," "Slow," and "Can't Get You Out of My Head."

Minogue's sixteenth music album, titled "Tension," was released in September and brought a new wave of popularity for the artist. The hit single "Padam, Padam" was the standout track and received plenty of airplay and playlist inclusions throughout the summer.

Beyond the celebrations happening in London this weekend, Minogue is presently giving performances in Las Vegas on a regular basis.
