Viewers found Brit Awards host Clara Amfo's words about Kylie Minogue amusing, and they may have also been interpreted as a slight towards Kylie Jenner.

Last night during the awards ceremony on March 2, the well-known music artist, Minogue who is 55 years old, performed a mashup of her most famous songs. She was awarded the highly esteemed Global Icon award before taking the stage.

Following the heartfelt acknowledgment from the renowned Australian icon, the 39-year-old disc jockey and host Amfo exclaimed "what an amazing woman" and praised Minogue as the definitive, unrivaled Kylie.

She may have indirectly criticized Kylie Jenner, a popular reality television personality, though she didn't mention her by name. Back in 2017, Minogue was able to prevent Jenner, who was only 26 years old at the time, from obtaining the trademark for the name "Kylie" in relation to fashion and cosmetics lines.

In the midst of a legal disagreement, the singer's legal team contended that Jenner is a less significant reality TV personality than Minogue, who they referred to as a worldwide acclaimed performer, philanthropist, and advocate for breast cancer; famous by the name Kylie. After a while, the patent office rejected Jenner's application to trademark.

When reflecting on the conflict that took place in 2022, Minogue expressed that safeguarding and constructing her brand had been her lifelong endeavor, and, therefore, it was a necessary step to take.

Many people online loved what Clara Amfo said and even agreed with her. One person on Twitter exclaimed, "I got so excited when Clara Amfo said 'The only Kylie that matters'" while another person wrote, "She's absolutely right. The only Kylie that matters!"

At the conclusion of the Brits ceremony, Minogue performed her hit song from 2023, "Padam Padam," as well as some of her timeless classics such as "Can't Get You Out of My Head," "Spinning Around," and "Love at First Sight."

When she received her award, she expressed gratitude towards her supporters for staying with her all these years. She also gave a special mention to Raye, a singer who created history by taking home six Brit Awards.

The 26-year-old Rachel Keen invited her grandmother on stage during the Album of the Year award ceremony and delivered an emotional speech upon receiving the award. She humorously shared that she was crying so hard that she felt unattractive as it was being broadcasted on national television.

Amfo was one of the hosts at the event, along with Maya Jama and Roman Kemp who used to host Capital Breakfast. The ceremony also included performances by popular artists such as Dua Lipa, Tate McRae, Ellie Goulding, and Calvin Harris.
