Following her plea to put an end to the cruel bullying aimed at her appearance, Beckinsale's fellow actress from "Serendipity" - who had been hospitalized due to an undisclosed illness in March - shared some pictures and videos of herself in which she was transformed into an elder gentleman. This move was meant to quiet down the online trolls who were relentlessly attacking her image.

"I'm offering a new agreement. This is all you're going to see," she typed as the explanation to the initial picture she posted on Instagram. The picture showcased Beckinsale donning a white suit and a mask. "I hope it won't be too triggering for you and more suited for your age. Goodbye, ladies."

This is a challenging topic for me to discuss because I don't want to contribute to an already ongoing discussion. Unfortunately, I feel compelled to share my thoughts because persistent bullying in any form can have negative effects. These video incidents occurred many years ago, perhaps even two decades.

Kate Beckinsale expressed her desire that her costume as an elderly gentleman would be less provocative for her more disapproving fans.

Whenever I share something, which has been happening since I was approximately 30 years old, individuals accuse me of undergoing surgery or using Botox and fillers to enhance my appearance. They insinuate that I am fixated on appearing younger, and this behavior is cruel and tiresome, as it is a form of bullying.

She said, "I don't engage in any of those activities - I even took the effort to consult a plastic surgeon to clearly confirm that I haven't done anything of the sort. Despite this, there is always a group of people exclaiming that I am unidentifiable. People repeatedly remark "Oh my God, you've had plastic surgery", "Oh my God, you don't even resemble yourself anymore". It's a frequent occurrence, and it's normally women who are responsible for making such comments."

I plead with you to refrain from such behavior."
