The song represents Bay's first time reaching the top spot on the chart, and it's also his first No. 1 on any radio chart. In the past, he reached No. 2 with his song "Hold Back the River" in 2015.

The English singer-songwriter is the second consecutive artist to achieve a number one spot on the Adult Alternative Airplay chart for the first time. He follows Michael Kiwanuka, whose song "Floating Parade" held the top position for two weeks.

Regarding the other performances on "Up All Night," The Lumineers have achieved their seventh No. 1 spot on the Adult Alternative Airplay chart, marking their first since “Brightside” held the top position for two weeks back in 2021. The band, led by Wesley Schultz, first topped the charts in 2012 with their hit "Ho Hey." Meanwhile, Kahan has secured his third consecutive No. 1 hit, following “Northern Attitude” (with Hozier) which debuted in January, and “Dial Drunk” in September 2023.

At the same time, “Up All Night” is positioned at No. 36 on the all-rock audience-focused Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, having garnered one million audience impressions for the week that concluded on October 3, as reported by Luminate.

The song has also made its mark on Billboard's Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, where it stayed for four weeks and reached a peak position of No. 28 in August.

The track is the first single from Changes All the Time, Bay's fourth studio album, which is being released today, October 4. The previous album, Leap, came out in July 2022 and has achieved 39,000 equivalent album units so far.
