YouTuber Jack Doherty was involved in a serious crash with his $300,000 McLaren, resulting in his friend being injured and bloodied in a shocking event that has quickly spread across the internet.

The 20-year-old was broadcasting live on Kick while driving in heavy rain. He could be seen steering with one hand and looking at his phone as he sped along before ultimately losing control of the high-performance car.

The specially wrapped McLaren 570S lost traction on the rainy highway in Miami and crashed into the metal guardrail, tearing off the hood and causing extensive damage to the front end of the vehicle.

Jack got away without any injuries, but his friend Michael David, who was in the passenger seat, was seen with blood running down his face and needed to be rushed to the hospital.

However, before he did anything else, Jack passed the camera to him and said, "Michael, take this and record on that phone as well."

The 20-year-old was broadcasting live on Kick, showing himself driving with one hand while frequently looking at his phone. He was speeding in heavy rain when he ultimately lost control of the supercar.

The personalized McLaren 570S lost control on the slick Miami highway and crashed into a metal guardrail, tearing off the hood and severely damaging the front section of the vehicle.

Jack, originally from Long Island, New York, and now residing in Los Angeles, California, boasts a following of 14.9 million subscribers on YouTube.

Jack has now been prohibited from using the streaming platform Kick due to breaches of safety rules. Some people think this is because he was spotted reading the live chat during his stream just moments before the accident.

At that moment, it was reported that more than 185,000 viewers were tuning in to the live stream.

The social media influencer has faced criticism for seeming to prioritize his car over the well-being of his injured friend.

In the video from the livestream, you can see Jack giving his camera to a bystander who stepped in to assist. They captured moments of him being pulled out of the car window following the accident, while he continuously expressed his thoughts on the condition of his vehicle.

In the meantime, his friend is drenched in blood and gripping his wrist, which looks hurt, while others offer him support.

Jack eventually made his way to the opposite side of the McLaren and checked in on his friend, asking if he was alright. However, other influencers have taken him to task for showing that his primary concern was the condition of his car and for having his injured friend record content featuring the damaged vehicle.

Influencer Corinna Kopf expressed her thoughts on X (previously known as Twitter), saying, "Your friend is bleeding profusely, but you're more concerned about capturing the moment from every angle... great."

Jack, originally hailing from Long Island, New York, and currently residing in Los Angeles, California, boasts a YouTube following of 14.9 million subscribers.

He attracted a vast audience primarily consisting of teenage boys through his prank videos, daring feats, and various challenges, many of which take place in public settings. For instance, he often creates "Floor is Lava" challenges at stores like Walmart and Target.

His videos have attracted criticism because some think his actions are disrespectful and offensive. Much of his content focuses on bothering and troubling people in public places.

Jack has recently faced criticism for supposedly stirring up conflict to create engaging content, only to retreat behind his security team to avoid any physical interaction with those he has provoked.

In certain clips, he is shown confronting random people, only for his security guard to intervene the moment it seems like the individual might respond aggressively.

He stands behind the much bigger security guard, teasing him with questions like, "What are you going to do?"

Earlier this year, Jack and his bodyguard, Kane Kongg, received legal documents as part of a lawsuit filed by a man who alleged that Kongg, whose real name is Justin Goslee, hit him.

However, his devoted supporters see his behavior as funny and entertaining, passionately backing and cheering him on in the comments and during live chats.

The car accident occurred ten months after Jack flipped a golf cart while his girlfriend was sitting next to him, sharing the video on his YouTube channel.
