According to news sources such as The Jerusalem Post and Al Jazeera, Netanyahu recently shared his vision for Gaza in the year 2035.

A document titled "From Crisis to Prosperity - Plan for the Transformation of Gaza Strip" was made public and shared widely. It's not certain if this document reflects the official stance of the Israeli government, but it's said to have come from the Prime Minister's Office. We've reached out to their office to get their thoughts on the matter.

Planning the construction of cities that are more advanced and up-to-date is a current trend. This involves incorporating sustainable and eco-friendly aspects to ensure that it is in line with the needs of the present times. This approach also seeks to enhance the quality of life for individuals residing in the city. It is a well-known fact that urban areas are powerhouse centers of economic growth, and hence, creating more 'modern' cities will have a tremendous positive impact on the economy.

The paper provides a summary of intentions to convert Gaza into a commerce center for the area after the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

According to a document translated by Google, in the past, Gaza flourished because of its strategic location as a meeting point between two important trade routes: the sea route and the perfume route. It is suggested that Gaza has the potential to once again become a thriving center for regional commerce and development.

The strategy consists of four phases, which commence with the disassembly of Hamas, then a time of providing assistance to those in need, reconstructing the area, and ultimately achieving autonomy.

During the stage of reconstruction, the strategy includes the elimination of debris and then putting up brand-new cities with a contemporary twist. The illustrations depicted in the paperwork exhibit a technologically advanced city composed of a multitude of glass-walled high-rise buildings, encircled by abundant vegetation and sprawling acres of agricultural land.

The pictures are very different from what's happening now in Gaza, where most houses have been harmed or demolished.

According to a report called Gaza Strip Interim Damage Assessment that was released earlier this year, the United Nations made an estimate that by January 2024 about 62 percent of all the houses had either been damaged or destroyed. Additionally, 84 percent of the health facilities and 56 schools in the same area were also affected.

Engage with Neom initiative in Saudi Arabia

The document known as "From Crisis to Prosperity" has proposed new strategies that will shift its focus towards Saudi Arabia, which they call "pivot south". One of these strategies is the construction of a train that will link Gaza to Be'er Shiva city in Israel. They also plan to prioritize the controversial Neom project which is located in Saudi Arabia.

Illustrations depict the seaside construction separated by a massive railway system stretching from the north to the south alongside a stream.

According to the document, Gaza has the potential to become a major hub for industrial production along the Mediterranean coast. This would provide the region with strategic access to markets in Europe, Asia, and the Gulf countries. Additionally, the area could benefit from access to energy and raw materials sourced from the Gulf. It is suggested that Israeli technology could be utilized to support these endeavors.

The document proposes the creation of an "industrial precinct for producing electric vehicles" situated in the northern region of Gaza.

Most of the constructions in Gaza have been harmed or ruined because of Israeli attacks throughout the last seven months after a significant attack launched by Hamas fighters towards Israel on October 7th, 2023.

Many individuals living in Gaza have been compelled to evacuate their residences, resulting in around 1.7 million Palestinians seeking safety in either emergency shelters or unregulated locations. The conflict has resulted in the death of more than 35,000 individuals.
