Israeli troops clear Gaza areas 'slice by slice', but is this an invasion?

Gaza

The structures in the northern region of Gaza have been severely damaged.

The Jerusalem Correspondent for the BBC at an international level reported on a recent event.

It seems that the Israeli military is focusing their efforts on the Beit Hanoun region in the northern part of Gaza. They may also be extending their operations southward from that location.

I'm currently situated in Sderot, an Israeli town situated near the border of Gaza.

The bombardment of Gaza with heavy artillery is ongoing.

The battery of Israelites nearby is launching numerous attacks every minute.

There are hardly any people in the town.

The majority of non-military individuals have departed or been removed.

The Israeli military has declared that it is increasing the pace of its operations.

We have observed a massive attack from the footage that came out of Gaza on Saturday morning, as well as the surrounding border area on Friday night.

However, due to the interruption of communications, it is exceedingly difficult to obtain precise information about the ongoing situation.

As an illustration, I chatted with the UN officials who have managed to establish contact with their head office located in the southern region through the use of a satellite phone. However, they are unable to correspond with their regional offices that are responsible for managing their relief efforts. As of now, the aid operations have been completely halted, and they are unable to assess their well-being.

Although the attack predominantly targets the northern part, the Gaza Strip, with a length of approximately 45km (28 miles), experiences the blasts that generate a loud sound heard from far distances, resonating throughout the entire vicinity.

From what I gather, the Israeli military is most likely making an effort to eliminate underground passageways, most likely with the aid of elite units identifying objectives for the aerial assaults.

Tanks may be at a higher risk during daytime, so they could potentially retreat a few of them.

To the best of our knowledge, the ongoing situation is still occurring.

Is it an attack on the ground? I don't believe we should focus too much on categorizing everything. Once we witnessed the military preparing and calling over 300,000 reserves, we assumed there would be a comprehensive assault on Gaza from all angles.

In my opinion, it seems like they are gradually taking control of different parts of Gaza. Based on the language used by the Israeli army, it appears that their main objective is to keep advancing and seeking revenge.

In my opinion, this can be categorized as a significantly prolonged attack or a land-based assault. Without a doubt, it is an extensive military maneuver.

It is certain that Palestinian civilians are being killed as Israel continues its ground offensive.

The greater the number of Palestinians killed, the more widespread the outrage becomes in the Middle East, among both Israel's allies and its foes.

There is no assurance that the conflict will extend, but it raises the level of instability and unsureness in an area that is presently precarious.
