The England team, led by Gareth Southgate, sadly started their trip back home on Monday morning after a tough 2-1 loss to Spain in the final of Euro 2024.

The Spanish player Mikel Oyarzabal scored a goal in the 86th minute that disappointed English fans in Berlin. This came after Cole Palmer equalized Nico Williams' initial goal with a fantastic shot from long distance.

Southgate said goodbye to the fans as his team boarded the bus to head back to England. The country is still hoping for their first big win since the 1966 World Cup.

In a video posted on social media by Sky News, Marc Guehi, Conor Gallagher, and Harry Kane were the initial ones to exit the hotel and get on the bus at 9:34 am in the UK. They were soon joined by Jarrod Bowen and Lewis Dunk.

While Guehi and Bowen are new to the disappointment of losing a final with England, there are several Three Lions players who have experienced this before. Three years ago, England lost on penalties in the European Championship final against Italy at Wembley.

England lost for the second time in a row in the European Championship final on Sunday.

Jordan Pickford, Dean Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Luke Shaw, John Stones, Kieran Trippier, Kyle Walker, Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, Bukayo Saka, and Kane were all on the team when England's Euro 2020 run ended just before reaching the final.

Even though England didn't move smoothly and didn't have much aggression in their play towards reaching the Euro 2024 final on Sunday, they showed a lot of determination by making comebacks in all three of their knockout games against Slovakia, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

The England team was close to a disaster in their match against Slovakia in the last-16 round. However, Bellingham's amazing overhead kick in the final moments of the game saved them from elimination. This incredible goal motivated England to a 2-1 victory in extra time, with captain Kane scoring a crucial header.

Saka scored an impressive goal to tie the game after Switzerland went ahead in the quarter-finals. This brought the Three Lions into overtime before they ultimately won the match on penalties.

In the final four minutes of the match, England had to recover after Xavi Simons scored the first goal for the Netherlands in the seventh minute. They managed to equalize with a penalty kick from Kane before ultimately securing a victory with a late goal from Ollie Watkins.

Southgate's team couldn't pull off another comeback win, even though Palmer scored to tie the game in the 73rd minute. This was their fourth attempt at a comeback victory. However, they were unable to push the game into overtime.

Stones, who was crying after the game ended, was spotted exiting the hotel with his hood covering his head, while celebrities like Gallagher and Watkins departed looking downcast.

Kieran Trippier, at the age of 33, participated in all the matches leading up to the final but may not have the opportunity to play in the Euros again.

Arsenal players Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice exit the hotel together and head towards the bus for their upcoming game.

There are uncertainties surrounding Southgate's role as the manager of the Three Lions following their loss in the Euro 2024 final.

Kieran Trippier, who did not begin the final match and might have completed his final European Championships at 33 years old, was also seen departing the hotel not long before Arsenal players Saka and Rice.

This might also be the last time Southgate gets on a team bus with his Three Lions players, as there are rumors about what will happen with the England manager's job going forward.

Gary Lineker, who presents Match of the Day and used to play for England, suggested on Monday that the FA should look for a new manager instead of Southgate. He suggested that they should try to hire Jurgen Klopp, who used to coach Liverpool.
