Rarely do we have the opportunity to witness true music legends on a grand stage so close to home, however, the recent Foo Fighters concert in Manchester, their first in six years, will be a cherished memory for a lifetime.

Let's admit that this blog post is not a review, to be honest. Instead, it's a tribute to one of the all-time great bands. After experiencing their live performance, we finally understood why they're considered the rock legends they've been for many years.

The Foos have always had an ethereal quality about them, making it hard for us to fully comprehend that we're really experiencing them live. This feeling has persisted over a long period of time.

Setting aside any doubts, we managed to attend the event after being blown away by the two remarkable opening acts.

We were thrilled to see the Manchester post-punk and funk band Loose Articles after waiting in lines and crowds. We love to see local artists being recognized by larger acts, like Foo Fighters, and it was a great experience.

Although we didn't get to catch their live set, we have been keeping an eye on them for some time now. They are representing our city, and like many before them, we will be keeping a close eye on their progress.

Rhian Teasdale, the lead singer of Wet Leg, also had great things to say about the opening acts. Despite having to perform in a light and consistent rain, BRITs Best New Artist and Group of the Year 2023 had their work cut out for them. However, they managed to impressively keep the numerous Manchester fans dancing throughout their set.

Perhaps it wasn't exactly their audience, but certain highlights such as the high-pitched wail in "Ur Mum" and the irresistibly infectious groove of "Chaise Longue" are surefire hits that elevate the excitement level right before the Foos hit the stage.

Experiencing Dave Grohl's live appearance right in front of you is an inexplicable emotion that we doubt we can ever put into words. However, what we can express is that the entire audience at the Emirates Old Trafford seemed to be greeting an old buddy and simultaneously going crazy.

The band dared to begin their performance with the song 'Monkey Wrench'. This track had an infectious beat that got the crowd moving and nostalgic as memories flooded back. Next, they played 'Learn to Fly', which is a personal favorite. Following this, the band played at least one song from each of their eleven albums.

It was not important which time period they selected for their setlist, and it is definitely true to say that they had one hit after another. They have been in the industry for a long time because they produce high-quality content consistently.

Listening to popular songs like ‘Generator’, ‘Statues’, and ‘Under You’, left Grohl amazed as he saw the Manchester audience sing every single word back to him. Despite playing 'Under You' live only a few times, and for the first time entirely on acoustic, the experience felt extraordinary.

It was great to witness Foo Fighters' opening performance in Manchester because they included all the classic elements of a traditional rock concert. They rocked the stage with extended guitar solos and every band member had their own unique introduction/breakout moment. Additionally, they amazed the audience with a 10-minute jam session, showcasing their musical talent through 'The Teacher'.

The latest addition to the band, Josh Freese, did an outstanding job displaying his talent and proving why he was chosen to take over such a significant role. However, we have to admit that the dedication to the departed Taylor Hawkins was the most moving moment.

They kept repeating that all they do is share stories about Taylor and that he had a deep admiration for the place. This caused emotions to rise in people's faces as they performed his track, 'Aurora', while a large hawk design appeared behind them on stage. The audience's applause was so enthusiastic that it seemed like it would never cease.

Definitely a personal and profound memory.

One of the best parts of the event was when they attempted to perform 'The Best Of You' and there was a collective chorus of "ohs". Dave made a comment, "You win motherf***ers", after previously mentioning that he would like to attempt to play alongside them.

The people of Manchester never tire of starting impromptu singalongs when they hear a single note. Their enthusiasm is infectious as they sing together with full voices. This tradition continued on the first night of the UK tour, setting a high bar for others to try and match.

Following an unforgettable evening, we can declare without a doubt that Foo Fighters are just as incredible when performing live as you anticipate, potentially even superior. Despite being in the industry for a long time and experiencing the departure of a significant driving energy in the band, it is remarkable to perceive that their endurance and skill have not weakened in the slightest.

These concerts are a must-see and if you're attending on Saturday, you won't be let down. Additionally, our Foo Fighters concert guide has all the necessary details you need. Believe us, you'll have a fantastic time.

The Foos are awesome and will be around for a long time.

"Oasis Reunion Speculated With 'reserved For Noel' Seat At Liam Gallagher Gig"

It's that time of year once again. Regardless of whether you're tired of it or not, the gossip about a possible Oasis reunion is making its rounds. This speculation was fueled by a poster at a recent concert of Liam Gallagher that stated "reserved for Noel".

Liam is currently travelling around the UK, performing Definitely Maybe in its entirety to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the album's release. He is starting the first of four shows in Manchester this weekend, having just completed all of his shows at The O2 in London.

Many fans are wondering if Liam Gallagher invited his estranged brother Noel to his show in London, as Noel has been living there since the 90s. Speculation arose after a sign was seen in the arena.

Actually, it's not quite clear where it all began. There are differing opinions regarding its roots.

I'm currently sitting in a luxury seating area at #LiamGallagher's concert and I've just laid my eyes on an object placed on the seat in front of me.

Simon Love, who used to be the lead singer of the indie-pop group The Loves, has reported that he found a sign on the seat situated in the hospitality section during Liam's performance on Tuesday evening.

Nevertheless, a person who left a comment rushed to assert, "Liam puts one aside at each performance, with the expectation that maybe, just maybe, Noel will make an appearance..." Love amusingly replied with a remark that likened the situation to Ricky Bobby, the character played by Will Ferrell from Talladega Nights, who had a father that was constantly absent.

Despite this, someone familiar with Gallagher's team stated to The Independent that Liam was not involved with the reserved sign. It was presumably "a prank by someone working in the hospitality industry." However, it's possible that this person was just defending Liam's actions.

Overall, the comical reply seemed appropriate since even though many people were optimistic that Love's supposed prank had some truth to it, more individuals didn't believe it was anything significant. However, Liam ultimately did end up seeing another iconic rock musician after the performance.

It is impossible to verify if Liam really saved a seat for Noel during his shows and if Noel intentionally ignored him. Hence, the truth may remain a mystery, but it is fun to imagine that Liam still reserves a seat for Noel just in case.

Everyone is aware that Liam and Noel Gallagher's ongoing argument is unlikely to come to an end anytime soon. No matter how many times Liam has attempted to be playful but earnest by extending an olive branch, the chances of an Oasis reunion seem to be low.

Regarding 'The Mighty I', he is currently occupied performing his solo gigs and composing more music with the High Flying Birds group. He has clearly stated that it would require highly unusual circumstances for him to reunite with the other band member. However, he did propose an alternative idea.

Despite this, Liam continues to make an effort to perform Oasis tracks live for a large audience, demonstrating his dedication to the cause. He has even hinted at additional shows for the anniversary next year.
