Fabian Caballero, the former striker for Arsenal and Dundee, has passed away at the age of 46.

Caballero played 142 games for Dundee following a short time with the Gunners, during which he found the back of the net 27 times.

It has been reported that Caballero collapsed while playing futsal with friends in Asuncion, Paraguay.

Arsenal honored their ex-player on the social media site X.

The entire club is heartbroken by the news of the unexpected loss of our former player, Fabian Caballero.

The Paraguayan Football Association expressed its sorrow in a statement, saying: "We are deeply saddened by the loss of former player Fabián Caballero, who enjoyed a remarkable career both in Paraguay and internationally."

“We provide support to family and friends during this challenging period.”

A message from Dens Park stated: “Everyone at Dundee Football Club is deeply shocked and saddened to hear about the death of former player Fabián Caballero.”

Fabián sadly passed away at the age of 46, and he will be deeply missed by everyone at Dundee Football Club. He joined The Dee in July 2000 and quickly became a beloved figure among the Dundee fans.

Caballero made his first trip to Europe in 1998 when he arranged a loan agreement with Arsenal after leaving Cerro Porteño at the age of 21. During his time with the Gunners, he appeared in three matches, including one in the Premier League.
