England's under-17 men's team put up a strong fight to secure a 3-1 victory against the host nation, Germany, at Sportschule Wedau in Duisburg on Tuesday morning.

Neil Ryan's Young Lions wrapped up their three-match tour without a loss, having previously beaten Mexico and drawn against Israel. In their final game, second-half goals from Kaden Braithwaite, Seth Ridgeon, and Reigan Heskey led them to a solid win.

They also had to rally from behind, as Germany began the match with a strong start and scored just eight minutes in. The goal resulted from impressive play on the right side by Lennart Karl, who skillfully moved inward and sent a precise pass to Alexander Staff. Staff capitalized on the opportunity and expertly shot the ball past Jack Porter, giving the home team the lead.

After that, England faced a lot of pressure from Germany as the home team sought to capitalize on their early lead. However, Ryan's squad held strong and began to increase their pace as they approached halftime.

They carried on strong after the break and shocked their opponents by scoring two rapid goals in just three minutes, turning the game in their favor.

Just five minutes into the second half, Brighton's Harry Howell made a dazzling run, skillfully maneuvering past his defender before charging into the penalty area. He sent a cross back that was redirected to Braithwaite, who confidently struck the ball into the net, leveling the score.

Not long after, they gained the lead when Ridgeon, the Fulham midfielder, quickly closed in on the opponent, stealing the ball in the middle of the German half. He then carried it forward and executed a clever shot into the net.

With just 15 minutes left in the match, substitute Heskey sealed the game shortly after being brought on. He received the ball on the right side, made a quick maneuver to get past a defender, and surged into the penalty area. He then unleashed a powerful shot that hit the top of the net, bringing the score to 3-1.

The Young Lions are now focused on the UEFA U17 EURO qualifiers happening in October. They will be traveling to Malta to compete against the host team, as well as Latvia and Sweden.
