Liam Livingstone made a quick 62 runs towards the end of England's innings, as rain had postponed the start of the game, resulting in a reduced 39-over match. Nevertheless, the home team managed to clinch the win with overs remaining.

Ben Duckett gave England a strong beginning with the bat, scoring 63 runs. Meanwhile, Harry Brook nearly matched his outstanding century from the Riverside on Tuesday, but he fell short by 13 runs, finishing with a total of 87.

Liam Livingstone showcased his remarkable ability to hit the ball hard, scoring 62 runs off only 27 balls, which included seven sixes and three fours. His performance helped propel England to a formidable total of 312, ultimately securing the victory.

England delivered a masterful bowling performance. After taking out the opening duo of Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head, the Australian team lost their wickets rapidly, plummeting from a strong start of 68 runs without losing any wickets to just 96 for six. They struggled to regain their momentum after that.

This was Australia's first return to Lord’s since Alex Carey’s controversial stumping of Jonny Bairstow during the Ashes series, which had resulted in some tense moments in the Long Room between MCC members and the visiting team. However, aside from some boos directed at the wicketkeeper when he stepped up to bat, the atmosphere was free of any hostility related to that incident.

Australia's Chase: Need 191 Runs To Win

Starc steps up to bat with Carey and starts his innings by nudging a low full toss into the leg side for his first run.

I'm not sure what the Australians are trying to achieve with their current strategy. Is there any benefit to simply playing out the remaining overs?

Abbott Falls For 10! Australia 119-7 In Chase

Potts strikes the edge once more, but Carey manages to survive without the ball making contact with the outside edge at a score of 11.

The tension is rising as the points accumulate… and Jacks mishandles an opportunity that might have led to a run out. A perfectly timed shot from Abbott is halted by a diving effort from Liam Livingstone at mid on.

Abbott strikes the ball cleanly to the center of the next over, sending it soaring just past the boundary for six runs. He attempts to hit another huge shot but is caught by a retreating Livingstone, resulting in his dismissal for only 10 runs.

Australia Struggles At 105-6, Chasing 207

After 18 overs in the second innings, England decides to bring in spinner Adil Rashid for his first bowl.

The opening delivery is nudged away for a single, prompting an appeal for Abbott's stumping, which the umpires have referred to the third official. His foot barely touched the line, and he's been granted a second chance.

The temperature has dropped after the sun went down, and those who forgot to bring blankets are probably regretting it.

Australia Faces 210-Run Challenge To Win

Archer is currently bowling his seventh over and has taken two wickets so far.

Australia 101-6: Need 212 Runs To Win

Carse continues to bowl from the Nursery End as he approaches his sixth over. He delivers a short ball, but it's excessively short and is correctly signaled as a wide.

After losing some wickets, Australia has become more cautious and abandoned the aggressive strategy that Smith and Maxwell were using. With both of them now out, the team is playing it safe.

Abbott makes a dash, but he edges the ball awkwardly past the slips with a slice that's just too wide.

Maxwell Bowled Out For 2, Australia At 96-6

Carey has lightly touched the ball, which then bounced right in front of Duckett positioned at slip. Maxwell follows up by hitting the next delivery and collecting a couple of runs.

Australia faces a significant challenge as they try to make any progress in this match.

However, Maxwell is out! He took a big swing and was caught out! Another player falls, and Australia is in serious trouble now.
