The government has given funding for Stanwell Corporation's project in Gladstone. The funding is from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA).

The CQ-H2 Project costs A$117m ($76.5m). It will complete the development phase. The project is in Central Queensland. The project will make green hydrogen. The capacity will be up to 640MW. It will have electrolysers. People who buy the hydrogen will convert it into ammonia and liquid hydrogen. They will sell it outside Australia.
