Emmerdale spoilers: Tom issues dark ultimatum to Belle after horror attack

Emmerdale

This article talks about domestic violence, including manipulative behaviors, which may be distressing for some readers.

In next week's episode of Emmerdale, Tom King (played by James Chase), the abuser, will confront his estranged wife, Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper), with an ultimatum. He aims to manipulate the situation following Belle's act of self-defense when she fought back against him.

After enduring months of suffering at his hands, Belle thought she had taken Tom's life with an axe. She only grabbed it after he had assaulted her, threatened her, and made plans to shoot her.

As the Dingles got ready to hide the fact that Tom had died, something even more surprising happened: his body suddenly vanished from the location of the event.

Tom quickly found himself in the hospital after collapsing outside, and Belle was worried that regardless of whether he survived, he had the power to ruin her.

In the ongoing storyline of the ITV soap, Belle will face interrogation by the police, who are eager to uncover information following Tom's admission to the hospital.

However, the Dingle family comes together in support of Belle, preventing the police from making much progress in their investigation. Tom quickly regains consciousness and tells the detectives that he doesn’t recall what transpired, and he shares the same information with his uncle, Jimmy King (Nick Miles).

It doesn't take long for Tom's act to fade away when he's by himself, and he reaches out to Belle. He threatens to report her actions to the police unless she agrees to meet him the next day.

Will Belle decide to see Tom, or will she be able to resist his disgusting blackmail tactics? As Tom tries to portray himself as the victim, when will this wicked character finally face the consequences of his actions?

Emmerdale will showcase these episodes starting on Monday, September 30th, 2024.
