Emily Atack's famous friends share their congrats as she welcomes first child

The Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack received an outpouring of support from her celebrity pals after revealing the arrival of her first baby.

Famous for her appearances on reality TV shows such as I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and Dancing On Ice, along with her own comedy series The Emily Atack Show, she announced her pregnancy in December.

Atack shared a photo in black and white on her Instagram on Thursday. The picture featured herself, her partner Alistair Garner, who works as a scientist, and their new baby boy, Barney James Garner.

She said: "We are blessed with a handsome son named Barney James Garner. I am overjoyed to see all my wishes come true."

Atack promptly received well wishes from a variety of famous people, with TV host Rylan Clark saying: "Congratulations to both of you xx."

Holly Willoughby commented: "Congrats...absolutely stunning," and Ruth Langsford wrote: "Congrats...such a beautiful sight! Very happy for you both x x."

"Oh, that has made me emotional. Sending love to all three of you," expressed Carol Vorderman.

Comedian Daisy May Cooper, who recently had her third child, said: "Congratulations my dear xxx."

Other famous individuals sending their congratulations included vocalist Peter Andre, business personality Sara Davies from Dragon's Den, radio host Greg James, Lisa Snowdon, and Denise Welch.

The blog entry showing Atack also seemed to show her nursing while lying in a hospital bed.

The ex-Celebrity Juice team leader is going to star in an upcoming Disney+ version of the Jilly Cooper book, Rivals.

Her mother is a famous actress, comedian, and singer named Kate Robbins, and her father is a musician named Keith Atack.

A new episode of Who Do You Think You Are? in 2023 explored her family's connection to famous Beatles member Sir Paul McCartney. Her grandmother Elizabeth is actually a cousin of the star, while her great-aunt Doreen Atack was a well-known whistling performer.
