UK Chart: Beyonce & Dua Lipa Battle for #1 with ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ & ‘Training Season’
Beyonce and Dua Lipa are undoubtedly two of the biggest names in the current Pop music scene.
However, as they both recently released new music around the same time, these female artists are now competing for the top spot on the Official UK Singles Chart.
Based on the information from the Official Charts Company, there is a close competition between Lipa's recently released 'Training Season' and Beyonce's Country track 'Texas Hold 'Em' for the top spot on the charts.
According to the latest count, Lipa, bred in Britain, is leading by 3000 units.
It's important to mention that the latest update mainly takes into account the pre-orders that have been fulfilled for 'Training Season'. The book was available for purchase in advance for several weeks.
At the moment, Beyonce's 'Act II' song is performing better than Lipa's work on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and iTunes.
In case Mrs. Carter manages to secure the top position, it will mark her first time leading the UK charts in 14 years. Previously, she had achieved this feat with the song 'Telephone' in collaboration with Lady Gaga. At present, she has been able to clinch 5 UK solo number-one hits.
In the event that Lipa succeeds, her song entitled 'Training Season' would mark her fifth achievement as a UK #1 song.
